I got a call from ******* at Magic Mobile, He stated the results of the diagnostic analysis showed the reason the truck would not start was that it needed a new battery and a new starter. I authorized the repairs. The next day on 6-27-2023 I got call stating the mechanic toadvised the truck was running but it was now blowing white smoke from the exhaust pipe and engine was now making a knocking noise. I refused the offer of an oil change because one was not due. They performed the oil at no charge but it did not fix the problem. I left the truck and advised these problems are still happening and need to be fixed. On 7-1-2023 I was advised I could come and get the truck so I assumed the problems were fixed but they were . I drove less than 5 miles and truck stalled again. I had no choice but to pay $170 to have truck towed to the ******* Dealership. On 7-3-2023, I received a call from the dealership. The truck would not start at all; it appeared the engine had locked up. I feel like the diagnostic analysis I paid for did not correctly identify what the problem was. It was obvious there was an engine issue and I was told it was something different which was not the case. A new battery and new starter apparently was not needed if the truck stalled again after I picked it up. The mechanic who worked on the vehicle was also very rude. He refused to address my concerns that the vehicle was making the knocking noise and still blowing out white smoke from the exhaust pipe. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I had no choice but to pay the charges to get my vehicle back. The prices charged were predatory when compared to what their competitors charge for the same services.
