The release date of Destiny Witch Queen has been highly anticipated by fans of the Destiny series. Bungie, the game's developer, has announced that the expansion will be launched on February 22, 2022. This release date has generated a lot of excitement and speculati.
You see, Cherry Magic is taking a leap of faith and doing what very few Japanese films set out to do; have the major conflict in the first act. At first, I was a bit miffed by this choice personally. Everything after the transfer, and the relationship conflicts it created, were resolved mid-second act which left more then half the movie meandering a bit into the slice-of-life live action world. It felt very ordinary, and there was very little other drama included. We got about a 10 minute arch between Tsuge and Minato’s relationship that’s more or less introduced to be resolved, but other characters like the Fujisaki and Rokkaku are pretty much sidelined completely only really serving to be welcome familiar faces.
The stage greeting was mostly an acknowledgement of continued support, a few asides about filming the movie, the differences between filming the movie and drama, a question about whose character you would want to try if you could, and a final moment of Akaso Eiji doing selfies with the cast and audience to conclude. For those not familiar, stage greetings are usually the main cast and potentially a director going on stage to greet the audience, answer a question or two, make a few non-spoiler comments about the movie, and thank the audience for their support.

Plot: Adachi (Eiji Akaso), an office worker who turned 30 years old while still a virgin and has acquired the "magic to read the minds of those he touches," and Kurosawa (Keita Machida), a popular guy in the company who is also good at his job, are lovers. They have many dates and their in-house romance is going well, and in the midst of their happy days, Adachi is offered a transfer. As a fan of the "Destiny" series, I was extremely disappointed with the delayed release date of "Destiny Witch Queen." The anticipation was built up for months, and I had taken time off work to fully immerse myself in the game upon its release. However, with the sudden delay, I am left feeling frustrated and let down. Bungie should have communicated better and given their loyal fans more notice. This lack of transparency reflects poorly on the company and I am now questioning my future support for the franchise.

The constant delays and changing release dates for "Destiny Witch Queen" have taken away much of the excitement and interest I had in the game. I understand that game development is a complex process, but the lack of clarity and communication from the developers has left a sour taste in my mouth. It feels like Bungie is more interested in maximizing profits than delivering a quality product to their fans. I will think twice before investing my time and money into any future releases from them.
