The decision to waive Bol Bol by the Denver Nuggets has raised eyebrows and sparked discussions among basketball fans and analysts. Bol Bol, the son of former NBA player Manute Bol, showcased glimpses of potential and skill during his short stint with the Nuggets. There are several reasons why the Nuggets may have made the choice to waive Bol Bol. Firstly, the team's roster management and salary cap considerations could have played a significant role. The Nuggets already had a crowded frontcourt with established players like Nikola Jokic and Michael Porter Jr., making it challenging for Bol Bol to find significant playing time.

The coronavirus pandemic has destroyed many businesses, including Curioporium, the Hartford shop full of occult artifacts and oddities. But the store will be resurrected in a new form. It will reopen in January as a supernatural attraction, offering immersive experiences with ghosts, lost souls, opened vaults and ghoulish artifacts.

Nathan Nunez, who owns the shop, teamed up with Joey Marsocci of Hartford-based Grymm Studios, which produces haunted attractions and steampunk artworks. The new attraction, which also will be called Curioporium, was announced on Facebook on Halloween night.

“Patrons will have the opportunity to experience the world of the strange and unusual. They will be greeted by their host in Le Grande Salon, where they will learn the history of the Curioporium benefactors, the Havishams. Then the vault will open where they will walk and view exhibits in the Hall of Unnatural History, sit in the Parlor of Lost Souls, take a journey into the occult and supernatural in The Veil,” Nunez wrote in a statement.

Marsocci said the vibe will be creepy – geared toward adults – but humorous. “It’ll be a little bit tongue in cheek,” he said.

He added that the attraction may sound like an escape room, but it’s not. “It’s more of a theatrical experience,” Marsocci said. Guests will be encouraged to dress in period costume.

Groups of up to six people at a time can experience the attraction on Friday and Saturday nights at the venue at 1429 Park St. in Hartford, across the aisle from Pine & Iron Axe Throwing. The 90-minute show will include a half hour of drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Masks must be worn and social distancing must be maintained. Details: curioporium.com.

Another factor may be Bol Bol's position and fit within the team's playing style and strategy. Standing at 7 feet 2 inches tall, Bol Bol possesses excellent shooting and shot-blocking abilities. However, his thin frame and lack of physicality could make it challenging for him to consistently compete against more robust players in the NBA. Moreover, the team's coaching staff and front office might have observed aspects of Bol Bol's game that needed improvement or refinement. Developing and polishing a player's skills requires time, resources, and focus, which a team may not be willing or able to dedicate to a particular player. Lastly, the Nuggets could have made the decision to waive Bol Bol with the intention of giving him an opportunity to further develop his skills in a different environment. Moving to a different team could provide Bol Bol with a fresh start and potentially more playing time to showcase his talent and progress. Ultimately, the choice to waive Bol Bol by the Denver Nuggets is a complex decision influenced by numerous factors such as roster management, salary cap considerations, injury concerns, fit within the team's strategy, and player development. While it may be disappointing for fans of Bol Bol, it is essential to trust the team's judgment and recognize the intricate nature of managing an NBA roster..
