Bubble, bubble toil and trouble, don't we have a fantastical DIY craft for you! We have teamed up with the very talented myweebuddy to create a magical fire pit and practise our potion-making in time for the spooky season.

DIY magical fire pit
- 01Build your base
Place the shallow bowl in the centre of the plate/tray to create your fire pit base - 02Scatter stones
Scatter stones around the base of the pit - 03Place twigs
Place twigs around the pit, on top of the stones - 04Build your colourful fire
Pull fibres from your roving and place them across the pit, overlapping layers and blending the colours together. Ensure you leave layers hanging over the pit. - 05Twist and twine
Once your roving is blended together, twist the end of the layers that hang over the pit, this will help to create your flames. - 06Final Touches
Place your roving inside the pit and put the smaller bowl on top. You are now ready to add your potion!

- 01Add your fantastical ingredients
Add the bicarbonate of soda, citric acid and cornstarch to the bowl and mix well. - 02Sepereate
Separate your mixer into three containers. - 03Mix
Add pigment and glitter of choice to each container and mix well to three unique blends. - 04Add your magical herbs
Now you can add your potion powders to your fire pit bowl and sprinkle in some dried flowers - 05Add to your fire
Add a dash of water to the bowl in your fire and watch the potion begin to fizz - 06Store
Keep the leftover potion powders stored in a container with a lid and out of reach of small children.

1. John - 2/5 - I was really excited to read "The Secret of the Magic Goyrd" based on all the hype surrounding it, but I was sorely disappointed. The plot was extremely confusing and hard to follow. There were too many characters and subplots that didn't seem to contribute to the main story. Additionally, the writing style was lackluster and didn't engage me as a reader. Overall, I found this book to be a letdown and wouldn't recommend it.
2. Sarah - 1/5 - I couldn't stand "The Secret of the Magic Goyrd". The characters were one-dimensional and I couldn't relate to any of them. The dialogue felt forced and unnatural. The pacing was all over the place, with some parts dragging on for too long and others being rushed. Furthermore, there were several grammatical errors throughout the book, which really detracted from the reading experience. I found it hard to connect with the story and ultimately gave up on it halfway through.
3. Emily - 2/5 - "The Secret of the Magic Goyrd" was a complete disappointment for me. The world-building was underdeveloped and lacked depth. The magic system was poorly explained, leaving me confused throughout the entire book. The writing felt amateurish and didn't flow well. Additionally, the ending felt rushed and unsatisfying. I had high expectations for this book, but unfortunately, it fell short in every aspect. I wouldn't recommend it to others.
