I'm reading a book about the Titanic with my daughters, age 11, (A Brilliant Night of Stars and Ice), so my 7-year-old son wanted me to read this one to him. The author did a good job of keeping true to the history without making it too scary for young readers.

About the Author
MARY POPE OSBORNE is the author of the New York Times number one bestselling Magic Tree House series. She and her husband, writer Will Osborne (author of Magic Tree House: The Musical), live in northwestern Connecticut with their three dogs. Ms. Osborne is also the coauthor of the companion Magic Tree House Fact Trackers series with Will, and with her sister, Natalie Pope Boyce.
SAL MURDOCCA has illustrated more than 200 children's trade and text books. He is also a librettist for children's opera, a video artist, an avid runner, hiker, and bicyclist, and a teacher of children's illustration at the Parsons School of Design. I found "Magic Tree House Tonight on the Titanic" to be incredibly boring and uninteresting. The characters lacked depth and the storyline was predictable and unimaginative. The writing style was also quite dull, making it hard for me to stay engaged. Overall, I was very disappointed with this book and would not recommend it to others.

The plot felt rushed and underdeveloped, making it difficult for me to fully immerse myself in the story. Additionally, the dialogue was lackluster and the descriptions lacked detail. I didn't feel any emotional connection to the characters, which made it hard for me to care about what was happening. Overall, I was left feeling unsatisfied after reading this book.
