Army of Darkness is a fantasy horror film that was released in 1992. It is the third film in the Evil Dead franchise and stars Bruce Campbell as the main character, Ash Williams. The film follows Ash as he is transported back in time to the Middle Ages where he must battle an army of the undead, also known as the Army of Darkness. The story begins with Ash being transported back in time after mistakenly reciting an incantation from the Necronomicon, a book of the dead. The point of paying for a babysitter, fighting traffic and paying huge ticket prices to go see your favourite music act in the flesh is to see them working hard to see them sweat. It s all so very slick and calculated, right down to the digital petals that fall on a projection screen behind Streisand, the film montages or the elegant tea set on a side table with perfect flowers in a vase.
Ash convinces them that he is not a threat and offers to help them defeat the Army of Darkness. In order to do so, Ash must retrieve the Necronomicon from the haunted forest. However, he is warned that he must recite the specific words correctly or else he will unleash the Army of Darkness upon the world.
Barbra Streisand Celebrates Music, Memories & Magic In New Tour
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - As the only artists to achieve number one albums in each of six decades, Barbra Streisand's brand new concert tour called "The Music… The Mem'ries… The Magic" is truly all about that.
"Mem'ries light the corners of my mind," sang out Streisand to a packed house.
The tour, which officially opened Tuesday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles - threw a friends and family rehearsal show the night before.
CBS4's Lisa Petrillo was invited by the show's co-director - Miami's own Richard Jay-Alexander.
"I've been working with Barbra for 16 years but this is unlike anything we've ever done and tonight this is the first audience that's ever seen this," said Alexander.
This production includes duets with special guests such as Baby Face, Seth MacFarlane and Jamie Foxx along with heartfelt tributes to her songs from those unforgettable films.
Alexander says audiences will reminisce and be awed.
"I've been here for 12 weeks working with Barbra and the team. It's going to be such a special show celebrating six decades of number one hits. It's a remarkable career, unlike anyone else," Alexander said.
It's been a busy time for the star whose been in talks about starring in the remake of Gypsy.
Last November, she received the medal of honor at The White House along with other notables including Miami's own Gloria and Emilio Estefan and her friend Steven Spielberg.
At age 74, it's clear Streisand's instrument is stronger than ever.
"Does she still blow your mind every time you hear her sing?" Petrillo asked.
"Every single day. All day. It's pretty remarkable, if I've never worked another day in my life, that's it. I'd be fine," said Alexander.
