In a nutshell, coming out of the broom closet is really being a voice to what has happened to men and women throughout the millennia, while helping women and men to see that there are other paths through your truths, through your spirituality and through your connection with the world.
Candle magic is where you re using the elements of fire to transform your prayer into a reality, burning them with different colours and different intentions. Just like you hear people say lets do yoga off the mat , people go from default world to festival world, back to default world, and wonder, How do we blur those lines and start to make default world more like festival life.
Another popular activity during the Witch Festival is the "witch hunt" game. Participants are given riddles and clues to solve, leading them to hidden "witches" scattered throughout the village. This game not only involves the thrill of the chase but also showcases the participants' problem-solving skills.
Witches' Night Out 2023
Witches' Night Out is a mid-week event that has exploded in popularity over the past 5 years. With a huge following, people come from all over to attend this event. Attendees dress up like witches and warlocks and enjoy our downtown, shopping, dining, and spending time with friends.

Check in at the Mount Horeb Welcome Center (300 E Main St), then follow the event passport to find treats, goodies, witchy activities, and more in our downtown restaurants and shops. Grab a spooky cocktail at a local restaurant and take it with you as you enjoy the festivities! (Must be 21+ to enjoy.) Check out many new witchy events this year at our downtown businesses! Enjoy live music and enter the costume contest at the Welcome Center throughout the evening.
