Ancient Origins of Summer Solstice Paganism

By admin

Summer solstice paganism is a spiritual practice that is centered around the celebration of the summer solstice, also known as Litha or Midsummer. It is a time when the sun is at its peak and the days are the longest of the year. Pagans who follow this tradition believe that the summer solstice is a time of great energy and power. They see it as a time of heightened spiritual awareness and connection to nature and the universe. Many pagans perform rituals and ceremonies during this time to honor the sun and the earth. One common ritual practiced during the summer solstice is the lighting of bonfires.

“I’m a 100% believer of it, “Wiley said. “I know what I saw. I didn’t drive that way for the longest time because I was afraid I was going to see her again.”

The cops thought they were going to find a bunch of teenagers partying in the cemetery, not a gang of people dressed in dorky matching black t-shirts with our group logo on them. People have claimed to see her wandering along Honey Creek Road, around the area of Honey Creek and Conservation NE near Seidman Park, and also along Egypt Valley Ave.

One common ritual practiced during the summer solstice is the lighting of bonfires. These fires are seen as a representation of the sun's power and are used to cleanse and purify. People may also jump over the fires to symbolize leaving behind any negativity or obstacles in their lives.

Her husband finally got suspicious and stayed awake one night in order to catch her in the act…and he did. One night, he was lying in bed pretending to fall asleep, waiting for his wife to sneak out. When she did, he followed her and saw the two lovers embrace. This drove hubby crazy and he attacked the two, first killing his wife and then set upon the man. After an extremely gruesome battle between husband and lover, they both wound up dying from their extensive wounds. This all took place in the woods near the cemetery.
Summer solstide paganism

Another popular practice during the summer solstice is the gathering of herbs and flowers. These plants are believed to have special qualities and are often used in healing and magical rituals. They are seen as a way to harness the energy of the summer solstice and bring about positive change. In addition to rituals and ceremonies, pagans may also engage in meditation and reflection during the summer solstice. This is a time to connect with one's inner self and the natural world around them. Some may choose to spend time outdoors, soaking up the sun's energy and connecting with the earth. Overall, summer solstice paganism is a time of celebration and spiritual growth. It is a time to honor the sun, the earth, and the abundance of life that comes with the summer season. Through rituals, meditation, and reflection, pagans seek to align themselves with the natural rhythms of the universe and find inner peace and harmony..
