The Magic of Christmas Lights: Sarah Polkey's Illuminating Story

By admin

Sarah Polkey is someone I met during one of the Christmas seasons. She was a lively and enthusiastic person who was known for her love of Christmas and all things festive. Sarah had a unique way of bringing joy and excitement to the holiday season, and her energy was infectious. One memorable moment with Sarah was when she organized a Christmas party for her friends and family. The party was filled with laughter, music, and decorations that made the atmosphere magical. Sarah went above and beyond to ensure that everyone had a great time, from planning fun games to arranging a visit from Santa Claus himself.

Use the screws to mount the Raspberry Pi on top of the standoffs. You can now wrap the ribbon cable from the control board over and attach it to the matching connector on the Raspberry Pi.

You will need to gently pull out the clamp before inserting the ribbon cable, once you are sure it seated correctly gently but firmly press the clamp back in place. Like the apps discussed above, the Wella Professionals Smart Mirror is able to do a live AR hair color try on and can provide a 360-degree of the style so the client can see what it will look like from all angles.

Looking for a way to enhance your morning routine? Maybe an electronic dashboard is what you need. Get the weather, news and even commute time all while combing your hair. This project using a Raspberry Pi, the official Raspberry Pi touch screen and a few other materials, can be completed in a weekend but provides plenty of room to grow and customize.

To add the Magic part to this project we place the touchscreen display behind a two way mirror. When the monitor is off or black it looks like a mirror. When lit you can see right through the mirror making white text on a black background appear to float on the mirror surface.

To build this project we will use Magic Mirror an open source application from Michael Teeuw. MagicMirror is information dashboard app written in Node.js that runs on a Raspberry Pi. Both the data and look are customizable with standard web technologies like Javascript and CSS. MagicMirror comes with a set of built in modules for things like the weather, calendars and news but also has a large community of third party modules for things like tracking your commute, integration with smart home devices like Amazon Alexa. With a little JavaScript knowledge you can even write your own modules.
