Harnessing the Power of Good: The Magic of Benevolence

By admin

Magic has long been associated with both good and evil. It is often portrayed as a force that can be used for malevolent or benevolent purposes. Malevolent magic refers to the use of magic with ill intent or for negative outcomes, while benevolent magic is the use of magic for positive or beneficial purposes. In many cultures, malevolent magic is often associated with dark or black magic. It is rooted in the idea of using supernatural powers to cause harm, manipulate others, or seek revenge. Malevolent practitioners may use curses, hexes, or spells to bring misfortune, illness, or even death upon their targets.

Malevolent practitioners may use curses, hexes, or spells to bring misfortune, illness, or even death upon their targets. It is believed that these malevolent practitioners draw their power from negative energies and often engage in dark rituals to strengthen their abilities. On the other hand, benevolent magic is tied to white magic or light magic.

Half Magic Beauty- Get The Euphoria Look!

HBO’s Euphoria is known for its fantastic cinematography, compelling storylines, wild moments, interesting characters and of course the unique, bold makeup looks! Because of Pinterest, I knew of the Euphoria makeup look before I knew about the show! I was late to the game, catching up on Season 1 while Season 2 was out! Now consider me a fan! I followed Donni Davy even before I watched the show because I loved how creative her viral makeup artistry was. Donni Davy‘s brand, Half Magic, is brought to you by herself, A24 and the creators behind Euphoria. You bet I was there the second the first collection launched! There is a new round of lip colors out that has released since, but currently I don’t have any. This post was supposed to come out as soon as I got it, but I wanted to do a look. Ha! Forget it. It takes forever to do a photoshoot.

One downside about the chrome packaging… the fingerprints when you are trying to do a flat lay photo for your blog! A bonus? It packs inside a makeup train case nicely and doesn’t freakin roll off your table!

Swatches

Light Trap Highlighters,$20 each

On me, the purple Spiritually Complex is too dark as a highlighter, but I use it as an eyeshadow or if I am feeling adventurous, a blush! I love it as an eyeshadow all over the lid, it has a shift and a beautiful sheen,

Light Trap is gorgeous, it may be a touch too dark for my pale skin tone, but I still wear it anyway because sometimes I don’t care about being perfect.

Chomaddiction Matte and Shimmers, $24 each

Periwinkle is not typically a shade I would go for on my face. Clothing, nail polish… definitely, but not an eyeshadow! So this was stepping out of my comfort zone. (Don’t talk to me about the lime green, I am not ready to go there!) A more subtle way to use it is to use it as an eyeliner. I first lined with black liquid liner and made another line over it with Sky Juice using a small liner brush. It kinda looks like a cool blue lightning bolt the way I have to do my liner.

The matte collection has the periwinkle Sky Juice, a chartreuse We Are Aliens, red-orange Burn It Down and a coral shade called Wild Caught. I can see Kat wearing all of these colors. Just one at a time as an all-over shade.

I admit both the matte and shimmers did crease eventually. The glitters it’s not as obvious, but you can really see it with the matte color.

After trying these, I want to try the other two Shimmers I didn’t get: A.S.M.R. which is a champagne with blue reflects and No Shame which is a warm rose with periwinkle reflects.
At $24 a pop, it really adds up in price! I better space my purchases out.

Glitterpill Eye Paint + Liner, $20

I chose Microchasm because it was silver and could go with anything. It reminds me of the Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner but I think the UD applies more solidly. You’ll have to go over it a few times if you want the line to be more obvious. Shaking it might help.

Angel Rave Liptrik Kit, $26

This dual-ended lip pencil is really fun because not only does it have a wearable color but a totally out of the blue periwinkle! I love the idea of a double-ended lip pencil! Saves a lot of packing space and it’s not as easy to lose a single black pencil.

Honestly Yes is a bright pink. Fits in with the rest of my collection of bright pink lipsticks! I do reach for this a lot. It doesn’t apply well over my thick lip balm.

Don’t Be Confused is a periwinkle that will match perfectly with Sky Juice! I had used the blue lip liner as an eyeliner to establish the line for the eye paint, so I knew where to draw.

As lip liners, you can apply these any way you want! You can go blue on the outside and pink in the center as shown on Veronica Taylor (we know her as Lexi’s stage manager!) Or layer them over each other so they mix as purple. Or simply use the pink, which is what I’ve been doing. Basic, yes, but it works.

Angel Rave Mouthcloud is a red-based violet. I love the shade on me! The best part is, it doesn’t dry down and make your lips supremely dried out! Half Magic came out with a handful more shades since the initial launch. Invoice Attached, a neon hot pink, is a shade I’d go for. I’d buy that with the other two Chromaddiction shades I want!

Magic Brownie is the other shade in the first launch. It is supposed to suit all skin tones. If you are familiar with my blog over the years you know I can no longer stand brown lipstick on myself. I wore it to death in the 90’s!

Face Gems, $12

Is it really Euphoria without the gems? No way could we do a look without Maddy’s signature gems!

These have medical grade adhesive. What does that mean exactly? I assume that it wouldn’t make me itch but doing research it doesn’t mean it’s hypoallergenic.
Based on the price and for the amount you get, I would recommend trying to salvage them to reuse them for later. You’ll need to apply an adhesive, but at least you aren’t wasting your money.

Alternatively, you can purchase this set from Amazon for $5.99! They do not have a self-adhesive so you will need eyelash glue. But the amount you get for your money cannot be beat! You can also use them for nail art!

I will be taking my Half Magic rhinestones with me on a trip. The other ones has more variety, however, it could end up in disaster if it spilled all over a hotel room! The Half Magic one is super slim and easy to take with me. Plus, I don’t need hundred of stones! Overall, a smarter option to take on vacation!

Half Magic also has tweezers to use with the stones.

Free with my order was a Half Magic Beauty hair pin! They also come in a set of four for $10. Who doesn’t love a useful free gift?

You can only buy Half Magic at https://halfmagicbeauty.com.
Follow the brand on Instagram, TikTok and You Tube.

My favorite look from Euphoria has to be one of Rue’s, which is funny because she typically doesn’t wear makeup. It is the scene where Jules does her makeup as she is breaking her heart. Believe me, I re-created it the day after I watched it (sans glitter stars because I don’t have them.) But as far as the character who wears makeup best overall is of course Maddy!

You bet I listened to Labrinth’s music the whole time I wrote and edited this. His music is incredible and really sets the mood!

My birthday is in a few days. You bet I will be wearing a Euphoria look the whole week! Also, so everyone knows, my online shop will be closed for over a week. It will be back July 11th!

Malevolent magic vs benevolent magic

It is focused on using magical abilities for healing, protection, and personal growth. Practitioners of benevolent magic aim to bring positive change, help others, and promote harmony in the world. They may use spells, rituals, or enchantments to bring love, luck, or happiness to themselves and those around them. Benevolent magic is often associated with purity, goodness, and the use of positive energies. The main difference between malevolent and benevolent magic lies in the intentions and outcomes sought by the practitioners. While malevolent magic seeks to cause harm and negative outcomes, benevolent magic aims for positive and beneficial results. The motivations behind using malevolent magic are often driven by revenge, jealousy, or a desire for power, while the motivations behind benevolent magic come from a place of compassion, love, and a desire to help others. Overall, malevolent magic and benevolent magic represent the two sides of the magical spectrum, with one being associated with darkness and negativity and the other with light and positivity. The choice between using malevolent or benevolent magic ultimately depends on the intentions and moral compass of the practitioner..
