#ProPlantTips for Care:

For the best results, site White Shi-Shi™ October Magic® Camellia where it can soak up at least four hours of sunlight daily. They won't do well in standing water, so mound up if your soil isn't well-drained. Get your Camellias established in well-drained, slightly acidic soil with regular moisture access over the first season or two, and even beginner-level gardeners should have many years of success!

Tolerant of periodic drought only after the roots are established, give supplemental water the first season and during long periods of dry weather. Finally, apply a layer of pine bark mulch over the top of the root system but never directly touching the stems. Fertilize with a good Acid Lovers formula in early spring, following directions for application rates and reapplication schedule.

Prune your Camellias after they flower and keep their interior free of leaf debris and dead/broken stems. Apply deer repellent on the day you plant and reapply according to the label directions, if they regularly visit your yard. This will train deer to avoid this plant entirely!

Looling for the magic

For some, magic can be found in the connections we make with others. The feeling of warmth and love that comes from deep and meaningful relationships can create a sense of enchantment that rivals any supernatural force. The simple act of a friend's embrace or the laughter shared among loved ones can make life feel truly magical. Yet, despite our best efforts, the search for magic can sometimes feel elusive. We may find ourselves wandering through life, yearning for something that feels just out of reach. But perhaps, the secret lies not in finding magic, but in creating it. By cultivating a mindset of curiosity and wonder, we can find magic in the little moments of everyday life. The joy of a child's laughter, the taste of a delicious meal, or the serenity found in a moment of solitude can all be sources of magic if we allow ourselves to fully immerse in the present moment. Ultimately, the search for magic is a deeply personal journey. It is a quest to find that which brings us joy, inspiration, and a sense of wonder. Whether we find it in nature, art, relationships, or within ourselves, the magic we seek is always within our grasp. It is up to us to open our hearts and minds to the possibilities that surround us, and to never stop looking for the enchantment that makes life truly extraordinary..
