She suggests that learning to drive a car is an apt analogy, as one first must learn the rules of the road, but learning them and how a car works does not make you a driver.

One of Marsden's favorite props to use in his magic acts is the magic 8-ball. This iconic toy, commonly used as a fortune-telling device, is a spherical object with a liquid-filled chamber that contains a small 20-sided die. When a question is asked, the die floats to the top, revealing an answer in a small window on the bottom of the toy.
