The Witch King of Angmar, also known as the Gaz Witch King, is a central character in J.R.R. Tolkien's fictional universe of Middle-earth. He was one of the nine Nazgûl, or Black Riders, who were once powerful kings or sorcerers but were corrupted by Sauron, the Dark Lord.
