Unraveling the Mysteries of the Backstabbing Chalice Curse

By admin

The Curse of the Backstabbing Chalice is a popular legend that has been passed down through generations. The story goes that there was once a powerful chalice, said to contain mystical powers. This chalice was said to grant extraordinary powers to the one who possessed it. However, there was a catch. The chalice had a curse associated with it, earning it the name "Backstabbing Chalice". According to the legend, anyone who possessed the chalice would eventually be betrayed by someone close to them.

According to the legend, anyone who possessed the chalice would eventually be betrayed by someone close to them. This betrayal could come in any form – a friend, a family member, or a loved one. It was believed that the curse was enacted by the chalice itself, ensuring that no one could fully trust anyone else while in possession of this extraordinary artifact.

June Amazon Haul

I’m of course happy because it’s Friday, but I’m also THRILLED that today is my monthly Amazon haul. Today’s stuff is SO GOOD, y’all. The items are DARLING, WELL MADE, and the prices are FANTASTIC. We all know that shopping Amazon can be hit or miss, but with me putting in the work for you, I’m hoping you’ll only have a cart full of HITS!

Here’s a little sneak peek of this month’s haul…

DRESSES

Let’s kick things off today with this tie shoulder maxi dress. The top is smocked and super comfy, the tie straps are adjustable, and the skirt is long and flowy. To sum it up, the dress is DARLING. I’m wearing the “blue” which is 5th from the left on the top row, but it’s obviously so much more than just blue. And it actually comes in 28 color options. I also love the classic black, the “dark blue”, the “orange” with a tiny floral, and the “pink” with a geometric pattern. This is a really great dress. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

I shared this ruffled shoulder smocked dress in the “fire orange floral” last month and it was a top seller, so I had to try another color. I went with a solid this time in this gorgeous emerald green. The color is STUNNING. Not only is the top smocked, but the sleeves have smocking as well, which makes them incredibly comfortable. And check out the little ruffles on the sleeves. SO CUTE. The pockets and the little ruffle on the hem complete the dress. If you don’t like the green, there are several florals and several solids to choose from. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

If you’re looking for a bargain today, this dress is not your dress.

But if you’re looking for something special that’s beautifully made and makes you feel like a million bucks, then have I got a dress for you! It’s got a hefty price tag, but I love it oh so much.

It’s a 100% cotton poplin with a floral print, ruffle skirt, split v neck, and long sleeves with elastic cuffs. It also has a wonderful fabric belt that you can either knot or tie in a bow. There’s a button keyhole in the back, and it has a full cotton slip that comes with it. The color combo is like a deep cranberry red with a soft lilac. It’s an absolutely gorgeous and totally striking color combo. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think I would be fine in a small.

Okay, back to dresses with a super affordable price tag, this bohemian floral mini dress is one that I know lots of y’all are going to want. In fact, I like it so much, that I’m actually showing it in 3 colors today. This is the “ocean blue”. It’s a romantic dress with billowy sleeves with a relaxed and flowy fit. The neck is a deep v and has ties that I like to leave undone. It’s comfortable, lightweight, and just a dreamy summer dress. It’s not lined, but it’s not see-thru either. I’m wearing a medium in this one, but I’m wearing a small in the next two colors. Because of the length, I think I decided that I prefer the fit of the medium.

This is the “saffron”. As you can see, the small is still very roomy, but it is a bit shorter. I’m 5’4′ with long legs for my height.

This is the “caramel”. I actually think this one would transition nicely to fall and would pair great with a denim jacket and boots. If you’ve got a trip to Nashville coming up, grab it! Again, I’m wearing a small in this one.

I love a great shirt dress. Always have, always will.

This particular dress has excellent ratings, so it’s clear that lots of ladies love a good shirt dress. This one is lightweight, comfy, breathable, and so easy to thrown on and go. It’s also super flattering and would look great on a variety of different body types. I also love the black, white, hot pink, and light pink. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This is another dress I featured last month in a different colorway, and since it was a best seller, I thought I would try a new color! Last month was the “greygreen”, and this month is “tangerine”. I think both colorways are gorgeous. It has flutter sleeves, a smocked body, and a flowy skirt. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I’ve got a large chest and don’t always love how smocking highlights that, but I will definitely be wearing this styled with a great denim jacket.

Fun, flirty, and fabulous. This dress is a steal at right under $30. The double ruffle sleeves are a little extra, but I love it. It also has a drop hem and a wide ruffle on the bottom that girly and fun. I’ll be honest, I don’t love the fabric, but I do love the dress. For just $30, I think it might be worth it to lots of people. This is the “green”, but I think it’s more of a turquoise. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This dress is a thin material, but I still like it for summer. It comes in lots of interesting and unexpected color combos, so go see what speaks to you. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Okay, I’ve got a cute little set for y’all! This set combines a sleeveless top with a ruffle hem with wide leg high waisted pants. It’s a linen/rayon combo, and I think it’s totally chic and stylish. It’s a great little travel outfit, but it would also be cute for a girlfriend lunch or just running around town. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Does this dress look familiar? I highlighted it years ago in a chic black, and I highlighted it earlier this year in “pure pink” which is a soft pink. This is the “B Flower 7”, and I think the print is fabulous. I know tons of you bought it in the black and have worn it to lots of formal events and loved it. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I’m totally smitten with the red/orange/purple/white color combo in this maxi sweater dress. It’s from one of Amazon’s “The Drop” collections, so you now it’s gonna be good. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It’s really cut in on the shoulders, so I will never wear it on it’s own, but I know some of you will be able to rock it! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

TOPS AND TEES

Want a t-shirt with just a little something special? This petal sleeve tee could be what you’re looking for. There are 18 colors to choose from, and I’m wearing the lavender. I know lots of you prefer a v-neck tee, and this one delivers on the v-neck requirement! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

It’s hard to see the detail on this twist sleeve tee since it’s a dark color, but you’ll see the sleeves better in the picture below this one. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

These cutie shorts are from Amazon and come in 6 colors! They are Democracy, so they too have the Ab-Solution technology! On the site, they are shown with a small double cuff, but I prefer to just turn up the small hem the one time.

  • Mid rise 5″ Short
  • Inseam: 7″ Cuffed to 5″
  • 54% Cotton, 25% Rayon, 19% Polyester, 2% Spandex

You’ll see on the model online that these shorts are cuffed twice, but I prefer this pair cuffed once, although the versatility is nice. They are so soft, so comfy, very stretchy, and did I mention comfy? For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.

Here’s the same tee in pink. Just look how cute the sleeves are!

Here’s another great v-neck that I’ve shown you before in at least 2 other colors. And get this, several sizes and colors are UNDER $15 right now! It’s 100% cotton, I love the fit, and the quality is awesome. Grab a couple! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This pintuck blouse has lace detailing, tiny little buttons, and pintuck pleats. It’s SO pretty, and this blush color is lovely. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This blouse is light and airy, with a bit of stretch! There’s smocking across the top, the little cap sleeve has a flutter to it, and there’s lacy detailing on the body. This is the “pink”, but I think of it more as a smoky lilac. For size reference, I’m wearing a small, but I think I would prefer the fit of the medium.

This smocked blouse is a really pretty pale blue and the smocking, tiny ruffle neck, and flutter sleeves make it super feminine. I’m wearing a medium, but I need a small.

This pic is from my Nashville girl’s trip back in February, but I need to talk about the tee I’m wearing.

The “I Beg Your Parton” graphic tee has become my very favorite tee to sleep in. I wear it wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much, just ask the two guys that live with me. It’s so soft, and it just makes me happy!

TRAVEL ESSENTIALS

Speaking of Nashville…. If you want to know about why I think everything in this collage is a travel essential, go the Nashville post! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND everything you see below. I know lots of you are traveling this summer, so I thought you might want to grab a couple of travel accessories.

SWIMSUITS AND COVER UPS

This swimsuit and sarong set is something that I’ve seen on several different influencers over the last several months. They all raved about the set, so I finally threw it in my cart. I have to say, I don’t really care for the sarong (it’s actually quite small), but I LOVE the swimsuit! It’s a great fit, so comfy, and it has lovely details! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

AND GET THIS. It’s $19.99. WHAT? So see, I don’t even care that I won’t wear the sarong, I’m happy to have paid $20 for this awesome swimsuit! There are several different colorways, so you’re sure to find one you love. I will say, there are some different suit styles on this same link, but I don’t recommend the plunging v option. It looked great on other influencers, but the fit wasn’t great on me at all. I had a lot of side boob, and I just didn’t feel it was flattering.

This is awfully brave of me, but I wanted you to see the cut. It does have sewn in pads (woohoo!), the little ruffle straps are adorable, and do you see how the side has the blush pink stripe down it that matches the band on the top? I think that’s what makes the suit extra flattering because it helps create the illusion of more of a shape. And the lightly lined pads are perfect. It did take a bit to arrive, so keep that in mind.

I’m not kidding when I see this suit feels like something from Just Add Water. It’s so good.

This black crochet cover up is totally chic. But if you grab it in one of the bright colors, it will just be fun! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

AND. LOOK. HOW. CUTE.

Here’s a new pic of a tried and true cover up. I ordered this cover up back in 2019, y’all. I’ve worn her countless times, and I still love it, and it still looks brand new. This is the “orange blue”. It’s so chic!

BAGS AND ACCESSORIES

I’ve purchased and loved many Amazon straw bags over the years, but these are my two new favorites.

I grabbed this bag a couple of months ago because y’all are always asking for affordable bag options and I thought this one was super fun! It comes in several colors with a couple of different bag strap options in both medium and large. This is the large in “pink” which is a very subtle blush color.

These are pretty much the only pairs of sunglasses I wear. I’ve bought 1 pair of nice sunglasses in my life, and I lost them, so I refuse to buy another nice pair. Funny thing is, I’ve owned these on the left for probably 3 years, and I’ve never misplaced them.

I think they are both super cute, and it’s just a huge bonus that they are so inexpensive.

Both of these bracelets are FABULOUS. I’ve owned the multicolor cuff for years, and it jazzes up about every outfit you can think of. The gold bracelet stack is new to me this year, and it’s awesome.

I’m obsessed with these studded sandals and have been for a couple of months now. They are so comfortable with the cushioned footbed, and they are so stylish with the studs. They totally remind me of my Marc Fisher sandals from last year. I do recommend sizing up a 1/2.

There are TONS and TONS of options of the above sandal, but this blingy pair looks especially cool.

LOUNGE SETS AND PJs

A really great lounge set is hard to pass up, and this is a really great lounge set. I would describe this material as a heavy waffle knit. I wouldn’t wear it out, but it’s absolutely perfect for lounging around the house, being super comfy, and still looking cute! For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I would wear with the top with shorts around town.

This cute little short pajama set reminds me very much of my Cool Night’s Soma sets that I have, but this set is much more affordable. One of the reviews even says “soft as baby clothes” and I’d have to agree! SERIOUSLY SO SOFT. I love the little black dots and the pink piping on this set, but there are so many colors and patterns to choose from. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This set is a super cute henley tee, the entire set is quite soft, and the shorts are flattering! I sleep hot, but I stay cool in these. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Just as soft as the set above, this set is a v-neck and the shorts are a bit longer. I like both sets, so it’s just a personal preference. I’m wearing a medium in this set as well.

TOP 3 FROM MAY…

LADIES. This ruffle midi dress isn’t just DARLING. It’s EXTRA DARLING.

It comes in several solid colors (I showed the beautiful green above) as well as a couple of other florals, but I immediately fell in love with this bold orange with pink and white flowers. The straps and the top are both smocked (I love how smocking makes a fit so forgiving), which makes the dress so soft and comfy. The skirt is tiered, and it’s got pockets! And seriously, look at the smocked and ruffled straps. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I feel like this dress could be at least twice the price at Anthro. It’s also giving me a bit of Farm Rio vibes! It’s beautifully made and totally special.

I’ve gotta say, this smocked dress might be one of my favorite Amazon finds ever. I’m wearing the “greygreen” and think this colorway is absolutely stunning. It has flutter sleeves, a smocked body, and a flowy skirt. The “tangerine” option is my other favorite color. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This swing dress is a wonderful example of a simple closet basic that would be a great addition to pretty much anybody’s closet. It’s a soft t-shirt material, it’s super forgiving, and it’s totally basic in the very best possible way. It’s got some stretch in it, and it skims the body and doesn’t hug it at all. Plus, it’s super comfy AND it has pockets. #score

For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

FROM THE PAST…

I wanted to highlight some past favorites for y’all today that are perfect for the season!

This skirt is the Amazon dupe for the $98 Madewell skirt I featured last year. The material isn’t as nice as the inspiration skirt (which I expected), but it’s definitely the same vibe, and it’s much cheaper. Almost 1/3 of the price! For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

The waist is elastic (PRAISE HANDS!), and I think it’s pretty dang cute! The H band slide sandals are also from the collage. They are designer inspired, the footbed is cushiony so they are very comfy, and they are super cute! I sized up a 1/2.

At just $19.99, this peplum tee comes in way under budget.

And it’s awesome.

I’m not ashamed to say that I now own this tee in orange, navy, red, and white. I wear them ALL THE TIME. I also love the hot pink, blush pink, and light blue. I own some in small and some in medium. This one is a small. If you want a more swingy fit, size up 1. You’ll see me in the navy one in a medium later in the post.

These stretchy white denim shorts are under $40 AND they are awesome. There are a ton of shorts on this one link, and these exact ones are the #3 white. They are stretchy, comfy, and have great reviews. Don’t let the “small, medium, large….” sizing scare you. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, and I’m most often a 27.

Here’s the same outfit, but with the denim version of the shorts.

These stretch denim shorts are the A1 Cape Blue (you choose this option from a drop-down box). First and foremost, they are SUPER stretchy. Like reallllllllllly stretchy, so they are super comfy. You can see there is definitely some distressing, and I like the interest it gives. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. These are definitely on the shorter side, so keep that in mind if you prefer a longer short.

Here’s the peplum tee from above, now in blue.

Change the jewelry, pair with cut-offs instead of jeans, and you are ready for the 4th! I obviously like it a lot, which is why I keep ordering it year after year. It has EXCELLENT reviews and comes in tons of colors. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium here (and I’m wearing a small in the orange one above).

LADIES! Can you believe all of the cuteness.

I hope you found some pieces you love and that the post was helpful! Have a wonderful weekend with your people!

Reviews for "Unmasking the Backstabbing Chalice: The Truth Behind the Curse"

1. John - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with "Curse of the backstabbing chalice". The plot was all over the place, and the characters were poorly developed. It felt like the author didn't know where they were going with the story. The pacing was also off, with certain parts dragging on while others felt rushed. Overall, I found it to be a confusing and underwhelming read.
2. Sarah - 1 star - I can't even begin to express my disappointment with "Curse of the backstabbing chalice". The writing was clumsy and full of cliches, making it difficult to stay engaged with the story. The plot was convoluted and lacked coherence, making it hard to follow along. The characters were one-dimensional and unrelatable, making it impossible to care about their fates. I had high hopes for this book, but it fell flat in every aspect.
3. Mark - 2.5 stars - "Curse of the backstabbing chalice" had an interesting concept, but it failed to deliver. The pacing was inconsistent, with long stretches of mundane details and abrupt leaps in action. The dialogue felt forced and unnatural, making it difficult to connect with the characters. The book also suffered from poor editing, with numerous typos and grammatical errors throughout. While it had potential, it ultimately fell short and didn't live up to my expectations.
