Create a Chilling Voodoo Doll Halloween Makeup Look

By admin

Voodoo doll Halloween makeup is a popular choice for people looking to create a spooky and eerie look for the holiday. This type of makeup often involves dramatic and exaggerated features, such as sunken eyes, stitched-up mouths, and painted cracks on the face. It is inspired by the concept of a voodoo doll, which is believed to represent a person and can be used in practices related to witchcraft and rituals. To achieve this look, one can start by applying a light foundation or white face paint all over the face to create a pale and doll-like complexion. Dark eyeshadow can be used to create sunken eyes by applying it around the eyes and blending it towards the temples. A black eyeliner can be used to draw on deep, exaggerated eye sockets and create the illusion of hollowed-out eyes.

Now, instead of the spooky and ragged voodoo doll look, Kayla Kochar presents a more glamorous option, and she does a great job at creating this style, especially with the stitching effects because, while you see her putting them together, it is incredible to see how she gives them depth and makes them look so realistic it is hard to believe that they are just makeup, which is a powerful element that helps demonstrate how expertly this look is crafted.

A black eyeliner can be used to draw on deep, exaggerated eye sockets and create the illusion of hollowed-out eyes. For the mouth, one can use a black or dark red lipstick to create a stitched-up effect. This can be done by drawing small lines across the lips using a black eyeliner or a lip liner.

Halloween Tutorial Series: VooDoo Doll

So. This took me almost 2.5 hours to film, not gonna lie. I had SEVERAL technical difficulties (SIGH) and it was a tiny bit annoying to get all everything edited the way it needed to. BUT WE POWERED THROUGH AND IT TURNED OUT SUPA CREEPY AND TOTALLY AWESOME. This will be day 71 of my 100 days of makeup challenge. I know — I can barely believe we are this far into the challenge. I feel like I’m really going to miss it once it’s over so maybe I’ll start over. LOL. If you haven’t been following along on my Twitter or Facebook page (you should definitely check them out), here is the recap of the last 7 days of my #100daysofmakeup challenge! It’s going to be a mix of fall themed / Halloween from here on out. [wcfgallery size=”full” ids=”7356,7355,7354,7353,7352,7351,7350″] PIN THIS FOR LATER: I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial — it was so much fun to film and it was SO much fun to break into a little bit of body painting in addition to my face that I usually do. It was so much more detailed than I’ve ever done before and I absolutely LOVED pushing my boundaries a little bit. 🙂 Let me know what you thought of this Halloween look in the comments below! Can’t wait to hear what you think!

Voodoo dolls are famous because of the dark magic often associated with them. After all, the idea is to tether the doll to someone and have whatever happens to the doll also befall the person they are tied to, whether it is good or bad, and regardless of distance. This, of course, makes them dangerous and scary items, which Halloween thrives on, and it is also why this makeup tutorial by Kayla Kochar to turn yourself into a voodoo doll is so fantastic.

These lines can then be blended or smudged slightly to give a more realistic appearance. To add extra details and enhance the doll-like appearance, one can use face paint or eyeliner to draw cracks on the face, resembling a broken porcelain doll. These cracks can be added around the eyes, mouth, and on the forehead. Additional details, such as painted-on stitches or buttons, can also be added to further enhance the voodoo doll effect. To complete the look, one can add finishing touches such as false eyelashes for added drama, or even accessories such as pins or strings attached to the face to mimic the voodoo doll aesthetic. Overall, voodoo doll Halloween makeup is a creative and spooky choice for those looking to transform themselves into a haunting and enchanting voodoo doll character for the holiday. With the right makeup techniques and attention to detail, one can create a truly unique and eerie look that will surely turn heads on Halloween night..

Reviews for "Unleash Your Creativity with Voodoo Doll Halloween Makeup"

1. Sarah - 1 star - I was really excited to try out the Voodoo doll Halloween makeup, but I was extremely disappointed with the results. The quality of the makeup was poor and it didn't last long on my face. The colors were dull and not vibrant at all. It was also quite difficult to apply and didn't provide the desired effect. Overall, I would not recommend this product to anyone looking to achieve a realistic Voodoo doll look for Halloween.
2. Michael - 2 stars - I had high hopes for the Voodoo doll Halloween makeup, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The texture of the makeup was clumpy and hard to blend, resulting in a patchy and uneven appearance. It also caused my skin to feel irritated and itchy. The colors were not as pigmented as I had hoped, making it difficult to achieve a convincing Voodoo doll look. I would suggest looking for alternative products that offer better quality and performance.
3. Emily - 2 stars - The Voodoo doll Halloween makeup did not meet my expectations. The packaging was misleading, as the colors in the palette looked much more vibrant and pigmented than they actually were. The consistency of the makeup was also quite thin and watery, making it difficult to apply on the skin evenly. Additionally, the makeup started to smudge and fade after just a couple of hours, which was disappointing. I would not recommend this product if you're looking for long-lasting and high-quality Halloween makeup.
