The Witch and the Brute: An Enchanting Tale to Read Online

By admin

The witch and the brute is an online story that revolves around two main characters, a witch and a brute. The story takes place in a magical forest, where the witch has lived for many years. She is known for her powerful magical abilities and her deep connection to nature. The brute, on the other hand, is a fearsome warrior who has gained a reputation for his ruthless nature and his skill in combat. One day, the brute stumbles upon the witch's forest while on a mission to retrieve a stolen artifact. Intrigued by the rumors of the witch's power, he decides to seek her out and try to make a deal.

For example - The 7th level ability was too powerful, but got replaced by an ability that is way way worse than the Storm Rune you get earlier in the class. But nothing was done about the storm rune. Both should have been moderately trimmed back, instead of one being over nerfed and the other being untouched.

Honestly very little mechanical benefit of ruling it that way and let s me fluff them as being part of a character backstory as learning them from a sword given to him by his mother. Intrigued by the rumors of the witch's power, he decides to seek her out and try to make a deal. The witch, wary of the brute's intentions, agrees to meet with him but warns him of the consequences if he tries to harm her or disrupt the natural balance of the forest. As the story unfolds, the witch and the brute find themselves forming an unlikely bond.

Rune Knight Character Race

So my previous character left the party after witnessing his friend's massacre and I'm rolling a new one to replace him with. He used to be the defender of the team (armorer artificer) and now I'm planning to fill the same role again, though with a different take. I really enjoy being the frontline of the team and although big damage is always fun, my focus is to try and keep my party members alive, since they're all casters and ranged combatants.

One of my favourite fantasies is the size changing warrior that grows into huge proportions in fight, like Marvel's Antman or the entire Akimichi clan in Naruto. Thus I'm picking the rune knight! Problem is, I can't choose between two races: Goliath or Duergar.

They're very similar and I suppose it'd be mostly a flavour thing(?), but because I'm still a newbie to DnD I'd like to hear some opinions. We'll be starting from level 5, and I rolled pretty good stats (17,15, 14,13,12,10). I'll probably build this character around the grapple/shove combo, so whatever way I'm going I'll get Skill Expert (Athletics) level 4 and max my STR out right away.

On the one hand, Duergar comes with Enlarge, which really fits the flavour and fantasy really really well, and I'd eventually be able to grow to be Gargantuan. On the other hand, Goliath gets the racial feature to be able to lift, push and pull as if he was one size bigger, and my DM has confirmed that he'll allow that to be applied to grapple as well. At the end of the day, both of them feel very similar to me.

What do you guys think? Also, feel free to give any further advice and ideas on anything you guys feel is important or cool! Thank you! :D
