Born on the planet Nostramo, which was infested with crime and corruption, Curze developed a twisted sense of justice. He believed in making criminals suffer, often resorting to extreme measures to instill fear and maintain order.

Unlocking the Potent Magic of Wealth with NFTs (Paperback)

Marianne Thornton, a forward-thinking real estate agent, embarked on an entrepreneurial odyssey that would forever alter the dynamics of the real estate industry. Recognizing the potential of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) to redefine the traditional property market, she ventured into uncharted territory, challenging conventional norms and reshaping the landscape of property transactions.

Amidst a market characterized by complexities and sluggish processes, Marianne's innovative spirit led her to explore the possibilities of tokenizing real properties as NFTs. This groundbreaking approach not only provided a digital representation of physical properties but also facilitated the fractional ownership of high-value assets. By leveraging blockchain technology, she decentralized the real estate market, empowering a diverse range of investors to partake in property ownership, previously accessible only to a select few.

Marianne's astute understanding of the power of NFTs in streamlining transactions propelled her towards creating a seamless and transparent process, reducing the dependence on intermediaries and minimizing the cumbersome paperwork traditionally associated with real estate deals. Her implementation of secure, immutable property records on the blockchain instilled a newfound sense of trust and confidence within her growing client base, revolutionizing the way real estate transactions were perceived and executed.

Her visionary approach not only transformed the industry but also served as an inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs and real estate professionals looking to integrate NFTs into their business models. Marianne's journey serves as a testament to the pivotal role that innovative thinking and technological integration can play in reshaping traditional industries. Her relentless pursuit of excellence and commitment to leveraging the power of NFTs opened new doors for wealth generation and financial inclusion within the dynamic realm of real estate. Today, her legacy stands as a beacon of hope for a future where the convergence of NFTs and real estate continues to pave the way for a more accessible and inclusive property market.

Potent Magic Users (Optional)

An issue came up in my group's playtesting, and this is my proposal to fix it. As a spellcaster rises in ability, the challenges also increase. The way monsters are built, they begin to have excessive numbers of hit dice in comparison to their CR, which in turn enhance their saving throws. This makes it more and more difficult for even a high-level dedicated spellcaster to affect targets with their top spells, to say nothing of spells a few levels lower. I propose giving the dedicated spellcasting classes a scaling ability similar to those introduced for other classes.

Example: For every 5 levels a PC has in a spellcasting class, he gets +1 to the DCs of spells he casts from that class's spell list.

I might wish to divide this ability by divine and arcane magic, so that some multiclass characters can also benefit.

Example: For every 5 levels a PC has in any arcane spellcasting classes, add +1 to the DCs of his arcane spells.
For every 5 levels a PC has in any divine spellcasting classes, add +1 to the DCs of his divine spells.

I could suggest this be written up as a feat, but it is more powerful than most feats; therefore, I decided to write it up as a new magic option.

It sounds reasonable and not overpowering. You might ask your players how they feel about the increase in DC when the bad guy starts casting spells like Petrification and Slay Living, though.

I was just thinking about increasing the DCs for spells in some fashion, also. I was kind of thinking of doubling the Spell Level modifier. So, 1st level spell DCs would be 12 + Int/Wis/Cha Mod, 2nd level - 14 + Int/Wis/Cha Mod, etc. The problem is, then 9th level spells would have DCs of 28 + Mod. yowch!

The only thing thing about rules like these is that many view spellcasters to be already overwhelmingly more powerful than non-spellcasters. If you're using any kind of bonus to Spell DC house rule, you might consider weakening save-or-die spells.

Spellcasters do not need a bump.

My apologies, but if dedicated casters are having a hard time keeping up with saves, then they're either facing the wrong CR, or they're doing something wrong.

I hit the SRD and intentionally went looking for creatures that had abnormally high HD to CR, then went back and did the math on saves, here's what I've got.

Dire Tiger, 16 HD, CR 8 (definitely one of the worst HD:CR ratios I could find)
F: +13, R:+11, W: +11, Touch AC: 11
Admittedly, this one stings, but an 8th level caster should have, At least a 20, possibly a 24 in their casting stat assuming a 16 to start with, possibly a +2 Racial, +2 from levelling, and a +2 or +4 casting stat item. So lets say +5 to +7 to the DC from their casting stat, 3rd/4th level spells gives us another +3 to +4. So base, without any feats, you're looking at DC 18 to 21. Spell focus might bump it up a bit more, but oh well. If that were the whole picture, then yeah, it would sting a bit, but now take a look at that touch AC.

Divine casters should probably be buffing up and going all CoDzilla on the poor tiger and Arcane casters have access to a whole lot of very nasty touch attack spells that are going to completely ignore this beasties high save.

And that same pattern holds true for almost all the High HD/Low CR creatures. The majority of creatures have close to their CR in HD, it's mainly just certain types that get a bit out of hand (Vermin, Animals, Dire Animals, and so on) and those same types have severe weaknesses built in as well.

The Most Potent Magic of All

I hope you’ve been having fun with the latest posts on Mystic Magic. Finding magic in life can be healing, inspirational and extremely transformational!

Wands, pendulums and potions are an easy and delightful way to experiment with magic in your everyday world, and add a little sparkle to any project or event.

Today I’d like to share the most potent magic of all – Spells!

Spells are all around us. They are the single most prevalent and potent form of magic we access every day. Spells have the power to inspire, activate and manifest.

But, they also have a shadow side.

When using spells, it’s extremely important to use them within your Magic Triangle. Without clear intention, clear containers and clear creation, spells have the power to hurt others and to hurt yourself.

A spell is a group of words containing magic powers. Types of spells include mantras, affirmations, prayers, blessings, toning, songs, poetry, chants, oracles, symbols, and art. Spells don’t have to spill from the mouths of fairy godmothers or wicked witches, and here’s the most important thing to remember:

A spell can be cast whenever you speak your words!

Take a moment to think about what spells you cast daily.

“I am beautiful and sacred.”

“I suck at everything I do.”

Please be conscious with your words (spells)!

An easy way to experiment with intentional spells is to make a mantra for yourself. Here’s my very own Right Livelihood mantra: “Energy, in the form of money, vitality and resonance, pools around me with ease and grace while I enjoy my love, light, connection, and magic filled life and as I journey, I inspire others to receive as well.”

Another good mantra is the Thanksgiving Address!

Perhaps the most important spell you cast is your STORY. I truly believe we are creating our story with every breath, word and action. So much of the manifestation potential we hold is held within our story and how we tell it to ourselves and others.

Is the story you carry simply familiar, comfortable and safe? Why not tell your story from a lens that is positive, uplifting and inspiring? Your story is as powerful as any tool in your medicine bag. It has the potential to hold you back, keep you stuck in past wounds, or continue limited thinking.

And, it also has the infinite power to set you free, ignite your passion and unleash your potential!

(Pretty powerful spell, right?)

When I was 24 years old and starting my first job for one of the “Big 6” Management Consulting firms in San Francisco, I was reading a magazine article on my lunch break. One of those time out of time moments happened. The article was a one page piece about how you tell your story.

The part that stuck with me the most implored the reader to take control of their story. I tore out the page of the magazine and have kept it with me all these years. The gist of the article was this:

“Your life IS your story. You are the writer, the director and the star of the show. So what will it be? Will it be a tragedy? A drama? Or a hero’s tale?”

Remember your Magic Triangle:

-In BREATH: Ground yourself with a deep breath. Visualize your roots and place yourself intentionally in the here and now.

-Intention: What is your intention for your words? Does your intention serve your highest good, and the highest good of all?

Container: You are the container! You hold your story. The container can also be the situation in which you are speaking your words, the event, the conversation, the song, the poem.

Creation: Aligned action - How will you create your words? What tone will you use? What body language will you include? What is the timing of your spell? Alchemy – What can you add to make your words more powerful, a crystal, a wand, a picture?

-Out BREATH: Clear your energy. Release expectations or attachments to the outcome of your spell. Give thanks to the universe for hearing your words. And, so it is.

It all starts with awareness - then consciously choosing the words and intentions to fit the story you truly want to tell - the story you truly want to live.

Do not underestimate the way in which your STORY is a part of your magic. Use it for good friends, for yourself and others.

He believed in making criminals suffer, often resorting to extreme measures to instill fear and maintain order. Despite sharing genetic material with his brothers, Curze had a far different upbringing. His world was ruled by fear and brutality, and this shaped him into a deeply troubled individual.

The sunset cabin

He experienced vivid nightmares and visions of the future, which contributed to his descent into madness. As Primarch of the Night Lords Legion, Curze instilled fear and terror into his enemies. His Legion specialized in psychological warfare and guerrilla tactics, striking fear into the hearts of their opponents. They were known for their brutal, merciless nature and their symbol, a stylized Night Lords skull, became a feared sight on the battlefield. Curze's Legion became one of the most feared in the galaxy. He was a master of stealth and infiltration and employed fear as a weapon to demoralize his enemies. Curze himself wore midnight blue power armor and wielded a pair of lightning claws, which he used to devastating effect in close quarters combat. However, despite his brutal methods and success on the battlefield, Curze's methods put him at odds with his fellow Primarchs and the Emperor himself. His methods were seen as overly cruel and brutal, even by the standards of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. This led to increased tension within the Night Lords Legion and ultimately contributed to their downfall. Legeon Grey Curze of Shadows and Thorns is a complex character, embodying the duality of justice and cruelty. He is a tragic figure, shaped by his dark past and his visions of the future. His methods may be seen as extreme, but they emphasize the darkness that exists within the Warhammer 40,000 universe..
