Mobile services provider Smart Communications Inc., (Smart) has announced a new sim card and promo. The new sim card will be called the Smart Magic Sim, a limited-edition prepaid sim. In addition, the sim is loaded with 24GB no-expiry open access data for only Php 399. The open-access data will be readily available after activation.

The sim can be bought through the Smart Online Store, Smart’s flagship store in Lazada, and on GrabMart. Users of the Magic Sim can also link their account to the GigaLife app. In addition, users can avail exclusive rewards and data offers such as Magic Data with just a few steps on their phone.

You can download the GigaLife app via the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and Huawei Mobile Services. The app enables users to monitor their data consumption and as well as to earn GigaPoints. Users can avail of exclusive rewards and lifestyle perks offered by the app.

Currently, only GOMO, a Globe Telecomm backed brand, offers a similar no data expiry promo.

Is Smart reliable?

Ookla named Smart as the country’s fasted mobile data network in the second half of 2020. Smart has also been named the country’s fastest mobile data network by Ookla for the third year in a row. The telecommunications company achieved a score of 24.99, with average speed of 20.08Mbps for download, and 7.42Mbps for upload.

Albeit fun, smartphone drop tests are one of the most exaggerated parts of a review. After all, who would voluntarily drop their phone from several stories high. Similar accidents seem few and far between, too. However, all those drop tests have now prepared us for the ultimate test: falling from an airplane. An iPhone has recently survived a drop from thousands of feet in the air.

A safety issue currently plaguing the aviation industry today is the Boeing 737. A few days ago, an Alaskan Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Oregon after a window blew out while in mid-air. Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident. However, smaller items, such as smartphones, were sucked out.

Soon after, Sean Bates, a Washington resident, found an iPhone by the side of the road. The phone was still on airplane mode and even had an email from Alaskan Airlines still open. Most importantly, the iPhone was completely unscathed.

As several analyses have revealed, the iPhone’s survival might not be as surprising as the headline. Because of its size, the phone will have reached terminal velocity much faster. It would have been no different than if you’d dropped your phone from several stories.

Plus, the surviving device landed on softer soil and in a bush-heavy area. A lot of things could have broken its fall and prevented significant impact.

Now, though it’s easy to explain how the iPhone might have survived, it’s still impressive. Whatever case that the iPhone had, we want it.

The gameplay is also reminiscent of the challenging platformers of the past, requiring precise timing and quick reflexes to defeat enemies and navigate through the levels. One of the unique features of Stained Curse of the Moon is its "Curse" system. As players progress through the game, they can choose to either slay or spare certain bosses.

Slaying bosses will unleash their curse upon Zangetsu, granting him new abilities but also making the game more challenging. On the other hand, sparing bosses will prevent Zangetsu from gaining new abilities but will make the game slightly easier. Overall, Stained Curse of the Moon offers a nostalgic and challenging experience for fans of retro-style action-adventure games. With its pixelated graphics, chiptune soundtrack, and unique Curse system, it provides a fresh take on the classic NES formula. Whether you're a fan of the original Castlevania games or just enjoy a good old-school challenge, Stained Curse of the Moon is definitely worth checking out on the Nintendo Switch..
