Always a Witch is a Colombian fantasy television series that premiered on Netflix on February 1, 2019. The show tells the story of Carmen, a young witch who time travels from the 17th century to present day Cartagena in a quest to save her loved one. The show is based on the novel "Yo, Bruja" by Isidora Chacón. The main character, Carmen Eguiluz, is portrayed by the actress Angely Gaviria. Despite being a witch, Carmen is an ordinary teenager dealing with typical teenage problems, such as love, friendship, and fitting in. Angely Gaviria does an exceptional job of portraying Carmen's vulnerability and determination.

Angely Gaviria does an exceptional job of portraying Carmen's vulnerability and determination. Other notable stars of Always a Witch include Carlos Quintero as Cristobal, Carmen's love interest in the modern age, and Sebastian Eslava as Aldemar, Carmen's mentor and ally in her time-traveling journey. The chemistry between Angely Gaviria and Carlos Quintero is palpable and adds an extra layer of depth to their characters' relationship.

Witch Switch Jiggies

There are 10 Jiggies to collect in Gruntilda's Lair. Not including the very first Jiggy, each Jiggy has to be activated by a Witch Switch found in the nine worlds.

Jiggy #1

As soon as you enter Gruntilda's Lair for the very first time, turn to the left and climb up the platforms. The first Jiggy waits at the top!

Jiggy #2

Witch Switch Location: Mumbo's Mountain

After you learn how to use Eggs from Bottles, walk to the left and start jumping from platform to platform until you reach the Witch Switch. Hit it and a Jiggy will appear on the steep hill in Gruntilda's Lair. Once you have transformed into a termite, walk out of the level and climb the steep hill with the Jiggy on it.

Jiggy #3

At the lighthouse at the top of the island, walk around the base of the lighthouse to find the Witch Switch in the back. This will cause a cannon in the room with the entrance to Treasure Trove Cove to shoot out a Jiggy. Back in Gruntilda's Lair, jump on top of a different cannon to boost yourself up to the top of the ship. Head right to find the Jiggy.

Jiggy #4

Witch Switch Location: Clanker's Cavern

Go to Clanker's blowhole and wait for the corkscrew to rise. Drop into the hole to enter a new area filled with slower blades and a Witch Switch. Hit the Witch Switch to have the eyes in Gruntilda's mural rise in the area where the Treasure Trove Cove and Clanker's Cavern picture puzzles are. Go back to Gruntilda's Lair and ground pound the eyes back in to earn a Jiggy.

Jiggy #5

Witch Switch Location: Bubblegloop Swamp

One of the huts on the pillars contains a Witch Switch. Hit it to have the top of the giant Gruntilda statue shatter, revealing a hole at the top. Once in the room with the giant statue, climb up to the note door on the right and enter the fifth floor of Gruntilda's Lair. Break through the passageway blocked by bricks and hit Shock Pad switch inside. A Shock Pad will begin to spin around the vase in the middle of the room. At just the right moment, use the Shock Pad to enter the vase. This will take you right into the newly made hole in the Gruntilda statue and down to the Jiggy inside.

Jiggy #6

The Turbo Trainers are required for this Jiggy. Turbo Trainers will not become available until Gobi's Valley.

Witch Switch Location: Freezeezy Peak

Defeat the snowman with the top hat that is closest to the entrance warp to reveal the Witch Switch underneath. After hitting the switch, a panel above the entrance to Freezeazy Peak will open up. Go back to Gruntilda's Lair and head to the area with the giant figure of Gruntilda's head. There is a small dip in the ground that is covered with cobwebs. Drop three eggs onto the cobwebs to break through.

Head back to the entrance to Freezeazy Peak and use a Shock Pad to your right to get to one of the already opened panels. You'll come across a Flight Pad switch. Hit it to have a Flight Pad appear in the dip. Use the Turbo Trainers to run to the pad before the time runs out and shatters the pad. Now in flight, head towards Freezeazy Peak and enter through the tunnel above the normal passageway. Once in the Freezeazy Peak area, fly to the top where the Jiggy rests.

Witch Switch Location: Gobi's Valley

As you are making your way inside the maze, take a detour and hit the Witch Switch located in the top right corner. This will open up the coffin inside the room with the giant vase in Gruntilda's Tower. Head back to the room with the giant vase and use the Shock Pad circling the vase to reach the Jiggy at the top of the coffin.

Jiggy #8

In the church, jump from the top of the organ to a Flight Pad on an candle holder on the left. Use it to fly up to the wooden railings at the top. The Honeycomb Piece will be above the wood closer to the organ. Hit the switch to have a Jiggy appear in the eye of the Gruntilda's head statue. Head back into Gruntilda's Lair and use the Shock Pad near the entrance to Freezeazy Peak to get to the Flight Pad switch. Hit it and use the Turbo Trainers to reach the Flight Pad before the time limit runs out. Beak Bomb the eye to shatter it, then grab the Jiggy!

Witch Switch Location: Rusty Bucket Bay

To make things easier, get to the Witch Switch before you destroy the TNT box when trying to get Jiggy #9. Hop onto the TNT box attached to the crane. Climb up the rope and stand on top of the crane. From here, jump forward and land on the tall platform with the Witch Switch. Hit it for the Jiggy to appear in the room filled with water in Gruntilda's Lair. Head to that room and grab the Jiggy.

Witch Switch Location: Click Clock Wood

During the Winter, use a Flight Pad and fly over to where Jiggy #3 was found. Take out the snowman and land to find a Witch Switch. Hitting the switch will cause a Jiggy to appear in a small hole just outside of Click Clock Wood. Return to the Spring a transform into a bee. Go back to Gruntilda's Lair and fly all the way up to the Jiggy.

In Viva Piñata, Piñatas can wear an accessory named "Grunty Hat" which appears as part of the Banjo-Kazooie-themed Accessory Pack 6. The accessory returns in Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise. Gruntilda is also referenced in the description of the "Bird and Bear Statue" in both games, which is said to keep witches at bay.
