Wicca or Satanism: Which Path Is Right for You?

Wicca and Satanism are two distinct religious and spiritual belief systems that often get misunderstood and confused with each other. While both may involve rituals and rituals that are considered outside of mainstream beliefs, they differ in their core principles, symbolism, and societal perceptions. Wicca, also known as modern Witchcraft, is a nature-based spiritual practice that emerged in the mid-20th century. It emphasizes a reverence for nature, the worship of a pantheon of deities, and the use of magic in various forms. Wicca promotes the idea of personal autonomy, practicing harmlessness to oneself and others, and following the ethical code known as the Wiccan Rede, which states "An it harm none, do what thou wilt." Wiccans celebrate the cycles of nature and often hold ceremonies called Sabbats and Esbats, which honor the changing seasons and lunar cycles.

The paint job is what makes this piece. I once again painted the entire thing black, I used mostly colour washes so having a dark base worked well with what I was doing. I watered down different batches of browns, greens and orange acrylic paint. I used a soft brush and very messily slopped them over my entire piece. I used siler paint for the "metal" parts of the book and painted the eyeball. I had a lot of fun with the painting, it is by far my favourite step of anything I make. I added shadows and highlights and made sure to paint in the "stitching" holes darker.

Once I was happy with the placement I smoothed down the edged on either side to not only secure them to the wood but leave a slightly more raised line down the middle. For the stitching I used a thing crafting string. It started out brown already but I did darken it up a little but more with another acrylic wash. I cut the sting into small pieces and used hot glue to stick them into the stitching holes.
