Review: Dashing Diva Magic Press Nails

I’m not really sure what to say except, have you tried this? If not, you need to!

I’ve always seen these Dashing Diva Magic Press-On Nails at Watsons every time I dropped by to stock up on stuff, but somehow have also always been apprehensive of them. To spend money on press-on nails and not be sure if they would last 2-3 weeks? I’d rather get an express gel manicure done for $18 at Far East Plaza.

But then I saw them on Shopee and said, “Screw this, let’s try it.” And so here I am, a couple of sets later and I’m a convert.

Not only are these fake nails so pretty, they also:

• come in a variety of colours, textures and designs
• come in different lengths
• have a slim fit version for thinner nails
• last for weeks
• are very sturdy

These have lasted hair washes, doing the dishes, bathing the baby and more. A note though on washing my hair with these on is that my hair can get caught beneath the fake nails, or between the nail and crystals that are stuck on. It’s slightly annoying but since I don’t wash my hair every day, I’ll close an eye on that.

When removing the nails, you’ll need to use acetone or maximum strength nail polish remover, and ensure that it gets beneath the fake nails. I tried it with normal nail polish remover and it took me an hour to do that. These aren’t as damaging to my real nails as gel manicures are, so I would go back to them again and again. They are so easy to put on and last for so long – I’m really surprised by this! Just make sure you avoid water for 30min after applying them.

Dashing Diva Magic Press Nail Review

For busy moms, having a manicure is a treat and luxury. Then someone introduced me to Magic Press by Dashing Diva. I tested it out during the recent Chinese New Year period and now I am hooked to beautiful nails you can do yourself at home in a jiffy.

I love everything diy because I honestly hate doing anything that takes away a chunk of my time doing nothing else. So when I discovered this I was very eager to try it.

My profile: Busy mom who prepares meals 3-5 times a day including washing up and all other things that will destroy your salon manicured nails faster than you can say “magic press”.

Here I am with my home diy manicured nails done in 10 minutes, just press on, like magic. Oops! That glittery one needed a little bit of filing. I did say I was busy right? Yes, you can file the nails, no worries and it can be done in a minute.

My verdict: I love this! It is so easy. Compared to normal nail polish, this wins hands down!

Magic Press by Dashing Diva comes in different sizes, there is a short version and even one for kids.

They normally retail for about RM40. I got the above during the CNY promo for RM35 and RM11.

Each set comes with 30 tips in 12 sizes so you don’t have to worry about it fitting your nails.

This is what you will find in the box. Instruction manual, alcohol pad to prepare your nails, 30 nail tips and a wooden pick for removal. The nails have a double sided gel tape and is self-adhesive so all you need to do is select the size you want, remove on side of the tape and press onto your nails. Easy right?

I am using DASHING DIVA Magic Press Mani Soft Shine – Love Maze MDR602.

How to put on

All you need to do is to wash your hands and dry them, make sure your nails are not oily by swabbing with the alcohol pad, remove the self-adhesive sticker and press on. Then make sure you don’t do wet your fingers for about 30 minutes or so. That’s it!

Is it easy to remove?

Someone asked whether it was easy to remove? I think each person’s experience may be a little bit different. For me, I have no issues with it as all I need to do is wait for it to feel a little bit loose, the I just slide upward and then rub off the remaining gel glue. Its not painful to remove at all and the nails look the same after removal, no residual glue left behind because it is gel based.

Does it come off easily?

As I mentioned, I do a lot of housework and washing so yes, a couple did come off after heavy dish washing with lots of soap suds and water a few times a day. I find that the ones that came loose most of all are the ones on my thumb and middle finger. The rest are very firm and you can wash your hair, scrub your scalp etc and it stays firmly attached. However, I am really happy that it is easily replaceable, just get another one and press again and voila you have perfect nails again. You can even change the design of your replacement if you are so inclined. If you love your design, you can even recycle them by purchasing the double sided glue tape which is sold online.

There are many collections and selections for both manicure and pedicure and magic press for kids too. You can have a mom and girl bonding session together. I had a hard time selecting because I wanted to buy every colour and design!

Please keep all damaged packaging materials, including the box and all inside contents. Dashing Diva will note the issue with the carrier in order to file a damage claim. LOST ITEMS

If your package was marked as delivered by the mail carrier, but you have not received it, please make sure to double check that you have input the correct address in your initial order. If there is an error, your order is most likely on its way to us and we will ship it right back out to your correct address!

If your address and information are correct, please check with your local post office. 15 days after the initial delivery, you will be able to file a missing mail search with USPS. We will need for you to share this search ID in order to assist you further. Please reach out to Customer Service within one month of the delivery date indicated within your tracking link. Inquiries submitted after one month will not be accepted.

MISSING ITEMS

If your order is missing items upon arrival, please double check your order/shipping confirmation to make sure the missing items were in fact ordered. FAILED DELIVERY

INCORRECT ADDRESS

Recently I tried a super hyped fake nail product named DASHING DIVA MAGIC PRESS and it changes my perception about fake nails though. Frankly I used to not really into fake nail or nail tip because I always feel it uncomfortable, only lasts for a super short period (1-2 days maximum), plus I can't do many things with it (doing dishes and wear contact lens are forbid). That's why after trying this product several times and prove the quality by myself, I want to share it with you. Let's get to know more about this product!

Magic Press (Press On Gel Nails) is a super thin and flexible press-on gel nails that stay shiny and chip free for up to 7 days.

This series has some collection for manicure or pedicure from classic, enchanted florals, premium, short, and solid. You can also choose either glossy or matte finish.

Firm, sturdy acrylic box with 30 tips that comes in 12 sizes, perfect fit for all nails. The acrylic box is safely sealed.

I follow all the instructions and it's really easy to apply, less than 10 minutes. It has 12 different sizes of nails so it's pretty easy to find the right size for my nails. It feels light on my actual nail and it can stay up to 3-5 days on my nail. Even for some nails, it can stay longer than that (around 7 days). I guess it all depends on the condition of the nail as well. Once you applied the nails, please allow up to one or two hours for your nails to avoid wet. Because I've ever washed my hand after applying the nails and one of them detached easily.
