She was unlike any witch known in legends, for her powers were not used for evil or mischief. Instead, she used her magic to bring happiness and healing to those who sought her out. Years ago, the witch had been a respected member of her community. Villagers would come to her for potions, spells, and advice. She used her knowledge of herbs and natural remedies to cure ailments and soothe troubled hearts.

This is the 2nd in the Forgotten Witch series, where I focus on animating poems and bringing to life the forgotten stories of real women convicted of Witchcraft. For this project, I was really inspired by the stories and history behind the poem the Lancashire history of witches is a rich one and I really wanted to remind people of the events and show the history through an animation.
She used her knowledge of herbs and natural remedies to cure ailments and soothe troubled hearts. She was loved and appreciated by all. However, as the years went by, and the village evolved, the witch's skills and wisdom were slowly forgotten.

The witch's little cottage fell into disrepair, and her once-thriving garden grew wild and unruly. Despite this, the witch continued to diligently tend to her garden and brew her potions. She knew that there were still those who believed in the power of nature and sought solace within it. Though her name faded from the village's memory, her magic remained strong. One day, a young girl stumbled upon the hidden cottage. Lost in the woods, she had been searching for her missing cat when she stumbled upon a path unfamiliar to her. Following it, she arrived at the witch's humble abode. The witch, sensing the girl's desperation, welcomed her with open arms. The girl explained her predicament and tearfully described her beloved pet. The witch listened, her heart filled with empathy. She knew the pain of loss, the longing for a loved one. Quietly, the witch brewed a potion using rare ingredients from her garden and whispered an incantation. She lovingly handed the potion to the girl and instructed her on its use. Days turned into weeks, and finally, the girl's cat returned home unharmed. Overjoyed, she rushed back to the witch's cottage to express her gratitude. She shared her story with the village, spreading word of the forgotten witch's incredible magic. Soon enough, the witch's cottage saw an influx of visitors seeking her healing touch. The village rediscovered the power of her potions and spells, recognizing the value of her knowledge. The forgotten witch became a respected figure once again, her name spoken with reverence. From then on, the village held an annual celebration to honor the forgotten witch. People flocked to her cottage, leaving offerings of herbs, flowers, and handwritten notes expressing their gratitude. The witch, who had known solitude for so long, was now surrounded by love and appreciation. And so, the forgotten witch's story was remembered and retold through generations. Her magic and kindness lived on, a reminder of the power of compassion and the strength that lies in forgotten places..

1. John - 2/5 stars - The Forgotten Witch was a disappointment for me. The storyline felt weak and disjointed, with little to no character development. The concept of a forgotten witch having to find her way back to her powers seemed intriguing, but the execution fell flat. The dialogue also felt forced and unnatural, making it difficult for me to connect with the characters. Overall, I was left unsatisfied and wouldn't recommend this book to others.
2. Sarah - 1/5 stars - I really struggled to finish The Forgotten Witch. The writing style was tedious and overly descriptive, making it hard to stay engaged. The plot was predictable and lacked originality, and the characters felt one-dimensional. Additionally, the pacing was incredibly slow and I found myself getting bored easily. I was hoping for an exciting paranormal adventure, but unfortunately, this book didn't deliver. I'm afraid I can't recommend it.
