ReedPop Takes on Magic: The Gathering Magic 30 Fan Event

ReedPop has become the benevolent Thanos of the convention world, gathering up new fan events like Infinity Stones to wield major power in the fan convention space. And we’re here for it!

Today, the company — whose growing roster of shows includes New York Comic Con (NYCC), Star Wars Celebration, and E3 — revealed that it will partner with Wizards of the Coast to produce Magic 30, a three-day event celebrating all things Magic: The Gathering.

The event is officially slated for this fall, from Oct. 28-30 at Las Vegas’ EXPO at World Market Center. Magic 30 will kick off a year-long celebration of all things Magic the Gathering, in celebration of the trading card game’s 30th anniversary.

Throughout the three days of Magic 30, fans can enjoy panel programming and other content from the people who make the game, tournaments, cosplay, an exclusive Secret Lair, a Command Zone dedicated play area, and a virtual appearance by game creator Richard Garfield.

Tickets for the event will be available starting tomorrow, Aug. 11, starting at $60 for single-day passes and $160 for full weekend access. There will also be kids’ badges and add-on options available, including VIP packages that offer exclusive products and special event access.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, there will also be a 21-and-up party starting at 8 p.m. Dubbed the “Crimson Anniversary Party,” this event requires a separate ticket ($40) and will celebrate the one-year anniversary of Edgar Markov and Olivia Voldaren.

For those who are unable to attend Magic 30 in person, there will also be virtual tickets available. These will grant access to a selection of livestreamed events and event-exclusive merchandise.

Fans can head to magic30.mtgfestivals.com get additional info and purchase tickets at 10 a.m. PT on Aug. 11.

Reviews for "The Magic is in the Air: Discover the Unmissable Events on the Magoc 30 Schedule"

1. Sarah - 2 stars
I was extremely disappointed with the Magic 30 event schedule. The organizers promised a jam-packed weekend filled with exciting magic shows and workshops, but what we got was a disorganized mess. The schedule was constantly changing, with last-minute cancellations and reschedulings. It was impossible to keep track of what events were happening when. The worst part was that some of the events I was looking forward to the most ended up being canceled altogether. Overall, I felt like I wasted my time and money on an event that didn't live up to its promises.
2. Robert - 1 star
The Magic 30 event schedule was a complete disaster. Not only were the timings of the events constantly changed, but the overall organization was lacking. There were long delays between shows, leaving attendees waiting for hours with nothing to do. The lack of communication from the organizers only added to the frustration. I expected a well-planned and smoothly run event, but what I got was chaos. I would not recommend attending this event unless major improvements are made to the schedule and organization.
3. Emily - 2.5 stars
While I appreciated the effort put into organizing the Magic 30 event schedule, there were several areas that fell short. Firstly, the timing of the events was poorly thought out. There were overlapping sessions and long breaks in between, resulting in a disjointed experience. Additionally, the quality of some of the shows and workshops was subpar. I expected to be wowed by the magic performances, but many of them lacked creativity and skill. Overall, the event schedule had potential, but it needs significant improvements to provide a worthwhile experience for attendees.
