The characters felt flat and lacked depth, and the dialogue was forced and awkward. I was hoping for more creativity and excitement from this book, but sadly, I didn't find it engaging or enjoyable at all.
2. Emily - 3/5 - I found Magic Tree House book 14 to be just okay. While I appreciate the educational aspects and historical references in the series, this particular book didn't capture my attention as much as others. The pacing was slow, and I felt like the story dragged on without any real excitement. Additionally, Jack and Annie's actions and decisions felt unrealistic and at times illogical. Overall, I wasn't impressed with this installment and would have liked to see more captivating storytelling.
3. Sarah - 2/5 - This book fell short of my expectations. The writing style felt bland and simplistic, and the story lacked depth and complexity. It seemed like the authors were just going through the motions without putting much effort into creating a truly engaging narrative.
