1. John - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with Magic Tree House book 14. The plot seemed unoriginal and predictable, with Jack and Annie once again going on a magical adventure and solving some arbitrary problem. The characters felt flat and lacked depth, and the dialogue was forced and awkward. I was hoping for more creativity and excitement from this book, but sadly, I didn't find it engaging or enjoyable at all.
2. Emily - 3/5 - I found Magic Tree House book 14 to be just okay. While I appreciate the educational aspects and historical references in the series, this particular book didn't capture my attention as much as others. The pacing was slow, and I felt like the story dragged on without any real excitement. Additionally, Jack and Annie's actions and decisions felt unrealistic and at times illogical. Overall, I wasn't impressed with this installment and would have liked to see more captivating storytelling.
