All three pieces of the armor set the helm, legs, and body can be created by using a Crest of Zaros on a dormant anima core, with both items obtained as rare drops from bosses in the Heart of Gielinor. This article will include non-degradable armor sets from all three branches of the combat tree melee, magic, and ranged giving you inexpensive options as to how you approach bosses.

Magic Discussion: Mage Armor vs. Mystic Robes
The day is 18th of October, year 2004. There's a new arrival in the Wizards Tower. He's wearing a strange new outfit. Mage Armor, which then became the most Magic bonus giving outfit. It not only gave magic, it also gave a pretty good defense against melee.
Stats with full Mage Armor: (without amulet, cape, staff, shield)
Atk Bonus:
Magic: 18
Ranged: -21
Def Bonus:
Stab: 73
Slash: 58
Crush: 85
Magic: 32
Ranged: 0
2# ~Mystic Robes~
A while ago, (26th of January) the Magic Guild got a shipment of Mystic Robes. This outfit gives quite a lot more Magic Bonus than the Mage Armor does. The cost: this outfit doesn't give any defense against melee!
Stats with full Mystic Robes: (without amulet, cape, staff, shield)
Atk Bonus:
Magic: 45
Def Bonus:
Magic: 45
People! Now it's your turn. Discuss about these outfits, compare them to each other, and, finally, which one of them is better? which one is your favourite?

Mage armor sounds like its only as good as addy or mith, but the mystic robes give a huge magic bonus
So I think that mystic robes are better plus they look cooler
Warming up the engine, m'Lord.

Mystic robes, Not alot of mages stand there getting beaten by the monster anyway. So they don't really need defence.

Mystic robes for sure. They look way better then the splitbark armor. And they give got more bonuss point to magic.
Hold 'dat
Still Seekin'
Mage Armour is called 'Splitbark'. So edit it please.
Mystic Robes is way better. If there is an archer after you in wildy it doens't matter what you're wearing. Either way you'll end up dead. So if you're in wildy and you see a full rune. You'd want to kill it as fast as you can wont you? 'Cos you don't want him to get away. Solution: Mystic Robes.
