The Andover witch trials hearings were a series of trials held in Andover, Massachusetts in 1692 during the infamous Salem witch trials. These trials were part of the wider hysteria that swept across New England, resulting in the execution of several people accused of witchcraft. The Andover witch trials began when two young girls, Abigail Williams and Betty Parris, who were living in Andover at the time, started exhibiting strange and unusual symptoms. They claimed to see and interact with supernatural beings and accused several local women of practicing witchcraft. This led to a wave of accusations and arrests in the small community of Andover. The hearings were conducted in a similar manner to the trials in Salem, with the accused being questioned and subjected to physical examinations to search for "witches' marks" or signs of their alliance with the devil.

Magic Encyclopedia (Salvat)

The Magic Encyclopedia is a collectible encyclopedia distributed in Spain by Salvat, a company of the Hachette group publishing company and Hasbro, parent company of Wizards of the Coast. In Italy, France and the UK it was published under the name of the Hachette Group itself. It teaches the basic concepts of the game, the rules, and other general information. The product was sold with a set of exclusive cards that form theme decks specially designed to illustrate the strategies of the game. Each issue of the encyclopedia contained a booster with 12 cards for these theme decks. The cards have their own expansion symbol featuring a Pegasus, the logo of Salvat editorial: (2005 - 2006) and (2010 - 2012).

The hearings were conducted in a similar manner to the trials in Salem, with the accused being questioned and subjected to physical examinations to search for "witches' marks" or signs of their alliance with the devil. The testimonies of the accusers and their alleged victims were often the main evidence used against the accused. Many people were arrested and jailed based solely on the statements of these young girls, who were believed to have a special connection to the spiritual realm.

2005 edition (Spain) [ | ]

The first edition appeared in Spanish newsstands on August 22, 2005. It was to be released in 50 bi-weekly issues. In October 2005, the distribution was cancelled without explanation.

The Andover witch trials hearings were a complete waste of time. The whole procedure was filled with bias and unfairness. It seemed like the judges had already made up their minds before even listening to the defendants. The witnesses were unreliable and their testimonies were based on hearsay and superstitions. It was obvious that these trials were nothing more than a witch hunt fueled by ignorance and irrational beliefs. It is disappointing to see how easily people can be manipulated and how justice can be overlooked in the face of paranoia.

The Andover witch trials hearings were a chaotic mess. The courtrooms were overcrowded, and it was difficult to follow the proceedings. The judges did not maintain order or control the proceedings effectively. The defendants were not given a fair chance to defend themselves, as their voices were constantly drowned out by the noisy crowd. Additionally, the evidence presented against the accused was weak and circumstantial at best. It was clear that the outcome of the trials was predetermined and justice was not served. The whole experience was a disappointment and a stain on the reputation of the judicial system.
