Location

9 / 10

On a side street north of Hollywood Boulevard, the hotel is two blocks from the Hollywood & Highland shopping mall, the historic Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. From the Hollywood/Highland stop on the Metro Red Line, trains run to Universal Studios (around 20 minutes) and downtown Los Angeles (30 minutes). The beach at Santa Monica is at least a 30-minute drive away, or an hour by public bus.

Style and Character

6 / 10

Given its convenient location, the hotel doesn't have to work very hard to pull in guests. Nevertheless, it's clean, spacious and contemporary, with 40-plus rooms and suites arranged in three-story buildings that are painted sunshine yellow and set amongst tall palm trees. Interior courtyards with decorative fountains add to the laid-back atmosphere.

Service and Facilities

7 / 10

Personable staff are welcoming and ready to assist with most requests, though they are sometimes busy. Ask about making reservations for dinner and a show at the Magic Castle, a private magician's club, next door to the hotel. The hotel's outdoor swimming pool is often crowded, usually with families and young children.

Rooms

Airy rooms feel sunny and spacious, even if some show minor wear-and-tear. Cream, chocolate brown and charcoal grey tones are easy on the eyes. The stand-out feature is a full kitchen, which comes standard with all rooms and also one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. Pillow-top mattresses, fluffy robes and slippers, and Tarocco bath products will help you unwind after a day of sightseeing around LA.

The hotel doesn't have a restaurant or bar. Complimentary continental breakfast features fresh-baked pastries and muffins from a local bakery and unlimited snacks and sodas are available all day long. You'll find dozens of restaurants and bars just a couple of blocks away on Hollywood Boulevard, including at the Hollywood & Highland shopping and entertainment complex.

Reviews for "Experience Sensational Pleasure: The Rechargeable and Waterproof Magic Wand"

1. Jane - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with the magic wand. First of all, the rechargeable feature didn't work properly. It barely held a charge and I had to keep it plugged in most of the time. Secondly, the claim of being waterproof was far from true. I tried using it in the shower, following the instructions, and it stopped working altogether. Overall, I found this product to be a letdown and not worth the money.
2. Mark - 1/5 - This magic wand was a complete waste of money. It was supposed to be rechargeable, but the battery life was abysmal. I had to constantly keep it plugged in and it barely lasted a few minutes before dying. As for the waterproof feature, it failed miserably. I accidentally dropped it in the bathtub and it stopped working immediately. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
3. Sarah - 2/5 - I was really excited to try out the magic wand, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The rechargeable feature was faulty and it never held a charge for long. I had to constantly remember to charge it before using, which was annoying. Moreover, the waterproof claim was misleading. I used it in the shower once and it started malfunctioning. I expected better quality for the price I paid.
4. Tom - 2/5 - The magic wand's rechargeable feature was a disappointment. It lasted for such a short amount of time that it was honestly not worth the hassle. Additionally, the waterproof claim was simply false. I tried using it in a wet environment and it stopped working immediately. Overall, I regret purchasing this product and would not recommend it to others.
