The Curse of the Inky Eye Legend speaks of a cursed individuals who possess an inky blackness within their eyes, known as the Curse of the Inky Eye. It is said that those afflicted with this curse live a life of misery and despair, as the darkness within their eyes reflects their own inner turmoil. The Curse of the Inky Eye is believed to have originated centuries ago, when a powerful sorcerer cast a spell to punish those who had wronged him. The curse was meant to be a visible reminder of the pain and suffering caused by their actions, forever haunting the afflicted individuals. Those who bear the Curse of the Inky Eye are said to experience a range of physical and emotional symptoms. Their eyes become a deep, soul-piercing black, devoid of any light or color.

This 2-minute fully-illustrated and animated pre-show video is projected onto a ‘ship’s sail’ and gives players an introduction to the game and a background narrative.
Partnering with Gatlin’s game developer, we were supplied a written script, VO and music, then we took it from there: concepted, illustrated, animated, added sound design, edited and rendered the video to spec.
Deliverables included: storyboards, look development, original design and asset creation, several rounds of animation iterations, and the final video.

Due to the project timeline and budget, finished design was fleshed out during the animation cycle (fully designed boards were not necessary for approval).

Many become consumed by guilt and regret, feeling as though they deserve their cursed fate. This self-imposed suffering only serves to deepen the curse, trapping them further in a cycle of misery. Throughout history, there have been stories of heroes who sought to break the Curse of the Inky Eye. These brave individuals embarked on quests, facing treacherous obstacles and overcoming great odds. They believed that by finding and destroying the source of the curse, they could free the afflicted individuals from their torment. While many of these quests were ultimately unsuccessful, a glimmer of hope remains. Some legends tell of a sacred artifact, said to hold the power to break the Curse of the Inky Eye. It is believed that this artifact can unlock the light within the cursed individuals, purging the darkness from their eyes and restoring their true selves. The Curse of the Inky Eye serves as a cautionary tale, reminding us of the destructive power of our actions. It urges us to be mindful of the pain we inflict upon others, for it is said that the curse befalls those who have caused great suffering to others. Perhaps, by learning from the curse's lessons, we can prevent its reoccurrence in our own lives. In conclusion, the Curse of the Inky Eye is a powerful tale of the consequences of our actions and the potential for redemption. It serves as a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope for a brighter future..

1. Sarah - 1 star - I was very disappointed with "Curse of the Inky Eye". The storyline was confusing and hard to follow, and the characters lacked depth and development. Overall, I found the film to be a complete waste of time and would not recommend it to anyone.

However, that alone couldn't salvage the disaster that was "Curse of the Inky Eye". Save your time and skip this one.
