About the Author
Actress, writer and producer Emily Hampshire is best known for her role as “Stevie Budd” in the hit comedy series Schitt’s Creek opposite Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara. The series recently made history by winning nine Emmy Awards across all major categories in its final season. She can currently be seen starring in the highly acclaimed Amazon series The Rig and will next be seen in the upcoming romantic comedy The End of Sex.
Emily also stars opposite Adrien Brody in Chapelwaite , a series based on Stephen King’s short story Jerusalem’s Lot , which premiered in the U.S. last year, and is well known for her role in the Hulu series 12 Monkeys , for which she earned numerous accolades for her performance in the character first made iconic by Brad Pitt. I was really excited to continue reading the Witch Collector series after enjoying the first book, but unfortunately, the second book fell flat for me. The plot was confusing and disjointed, making it hard to follow along with the story. It felt like the author was trying to include too many elements without fully developing any of them. The characters also lacked depth and were difficult to connect with. Overall, I found "The second book in the witch collector series" to be a disappointment and not worth the time invested.

"The second book in the witch collector series" had the potential to be a great continuation of the story, but it ultimately failed to deliver. The pacing was extremely slow, with long stretches of nothing happening. It felt like a filler novel rather than a meaningful progression of the plot. Additionally, I found the dialogue to be awkward and unnatural, which made it hard to become fully immersed in the book. While the world-building was still interesting, it wasn't enough to salvage the overall lackluster reading experience.

I was a fan of the first book in the Witch Collector series, but I have to say, the second book left me disappointed. While the writing style remained engaging, the weak plot and character development hindered my enjoyment of the book. I hope the next installment can recapture the magic of the first book.
