The Secret Magic Control Agency (ILVIEA), also known as the Magic Council, is a clandestine organization responsible for regulating and monitoring magical activities across the world. Founded centuries ago, ILVIEA operates in the shadows, ensuring that magic remains a well-kept secret from the general public. ILVIEA's main objective is to maintain the balance between the magical realm and the human world. With their vast knowledge and resources, this agency is tasked with preventing misuse of magic, eliminating magical threats, and mediating conflicts between magical beings and humans. The agency is divided into various departments, each specializing in different areas of magical control. These departments include Magical Creatures, Spell Enforcement, Artifact Control, and Supernatural Investigations.
The bad:* As mentioned above, the film borrows scenes and some gags from other films. One scene in particular is almost taken shot for shot from Shrek 2. A couple of visual gags taken from Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 1 & 2, the movie has characters that are obviously inspired by Minions from Despicable Me, and so on. Sound effects are recycled here and there and sometimes missing altogether. In particular you'll hear the now overused owl sound file a number of times throughout the movie. At another point a character visibly grunts but the sound is missing. The story has some continuity errors, esp. when it comes to the passage of time itself. There's a major plot point involving someone's birthday happening in three days. Two days inexplicably pass, something that one of the characters mentions, but the birthday remains three days away. The same mistake repeats again where a different number of days have passed/remain.
A couple of visual gags taken from Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 1 2, the movie has characters that are obviously inspired by Minions from Despicable Me, and so on. Adults Are Useless When Hansel and Gretel are magically de-aged, their attempts at going to HQ to turn in evidence they found at the bakery are made fruitless when, despite knowing all of the proper channels and passwords for entry, they are denied access because they re children.
These departments include Magical Creatures, Spell Enforcement, Artifact Control, and Supernatural Investigations. Each department has skilled operatives who are well-trained in their respective fields. ILVIEA agents, known as Magic Councilors, are specially chosen individuals with exceptional magical abilities and strong moral compasses.

In the opening scene, we see that Hansel and Gretel are grown-ups, with a strained sibling relationship. Gretel takes her job in the Secret Magic Control Agency too seriously and forgets the value of family. Hansel is a con artist who is disowned by his own sister. The strained sibling relationship serves as the catalyst for the film. When Hansel and Gretel are turned into children by a magic potion, they are forced to work together to receive help.
