Tactics and Strategies for Maximizing Scarab Occult Troops' Effectiveness

By admin

Scarab Occult Troops are a specialized unit within the Thousand Sons Chaos Space Marine Legion. These troops are known for their expertise in psychic abilities and heavy weapons. They are equipped with powerful enchanted armor called Tartaros Terminator armor, which provides excellent protection and allows them to move quickly despite its bulkiness. The armor is adorned with intricate runes and symbols that enhance their psychic powers and ward off attacks. The Scarab Occult Troops are led by a Scarab Occult Sorcerer, who is a master of psychic abilities and can unleash devastating psychic attacks on their enemies. The Sorcerer can also summon additional reinforcements during battle and turn the tide in favor of the Thousand Sons.

Scarab Occult Terminators are, of course, equipped with terminator armor granting them a 2 save and a 5 invulnerable base which is improved to 4 because of the Mark of Tzeentch. In my experience, the unit is pretty decent given the right circumstances, but you have to be very cautious with how you play them to maximize their ability to damage the opponent s army.

The Sorcerer can also summon additional reinforcements during battle and turn the tide in favor of the Thousand Sons. In addition to their psychic powers, the Scarab Occult Troops are armed with a variety of heavy weapons, including inferno combi-bolters, power swords, and soulreaper cannons. These weapons allow them to engage both infantry and armored targets with deadly accuracy.

Cthulhu Wept

Teleport-striking from the aether with a hissing crackle of ozone, the Terminator-armor clad troops of the Scarab Occult stride forward inexorably. Their heavy plate deflects weapons fire, while their twin-linked bolters tear enemy troops to shreds. Once their steady gait has brought them within melee range, power-bladed khopeshes reap a heavy toll, slicing through bodies like wheat.

Scarab Occult are some of my favorite Thousand Sons models. They have all the aesthetic choices of Rubricae, but are a bit larger, which renders them easier to paint. Additionally, there's just something appealing about the lines of their modified Tartaros-pattern armor that really speaks to me.

They're also fun to play. Deep-striking them onto an objective or behind enemy lines is. Very satisfying. If you drop a Terminator Sorcerer alongside them, it's a great time. For you. Not your opponent.

Reviews for "Treasures of the Past: Scarab Occult Troops in Ancient Lore"

1. John - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with the Scarab Occult Troops. I had high hopes for them but they just didn't live up to my expectations. Their cost is extremely high for what they bring to the table. The unit is slow and lacks the maneuverability that other elite units have. Their shooting is decent, but their melee capabilities are lacking. Overall, I found them to be underwhelming and not worth the points.
2. Sarah - 1/5 - I cannot understand the hype around the Scarab Occult Troops. They are way too expensive for what they do. Their shooting is average at best and their melee capabilities are laughable. I expected a lot more from a supposedly elite unit. Furthermore, their lack of mobility makes it difficult to get them into the right position on the battlefield. Save your points and invest in other units that will actually contribute to the fight.
3. Mark - 2/5 - The Scarab Occult Troops are just too situational to be effective in most games. Their high points cost doesn't justify their limited usefulness. I found it difficult to find a role for them on the battlefield, as they are not great at shooting, melee, or even holding objectives. They also suffer from being slow and lacking the ability to quickly react to changing situations. Overall, I feel like they are a subpar choice compared to other options available in the army.
4. Emily - 1/5 - The Scarab Occult Troops are a letdown, plain and simple. With their sky-high points cost, I expected them to be formidable on the battlefield, but they fell flat. Their shooting is lackluster and their melee prowess is minimal. They are slow, which makes it difficult to get them where they are needed in a timely manner. I regret bringing them to my last game and would not recommend them to anyone looking for a strong unit in their army.
