Her presence alone can send chills down your spine. What sets the gothic witch apart from other witches is her dark and mysterious style. Instead of the typical green skin and warts, the gothic witch embraces a paler complexion and smoky makeup.

Did Tilda Swinton do a Good Job in playing the White Witch?

Yes. She defently did her role wonderfully. She was very good at playing the "evil" person and I can`t imagine anyone else playing her.

She did very well, her facial expressions did look really evilish. (I know that's not a word, don't rub it in!) I don't think they could have found anyone to play the WW better.

I think she was great! She was just as frightening and evil as I expected her to be, and just as creepy and good at seducing Edmund as I'd ever dream. Tilda Swinton was really just the perfect woman to play an evil ice queen

I don't think I can imagine any other actress doing a better job than her.

Yes, I think she did a great job as the white witch--she portrayed her as cold, evil, and power-hungry.

In my opinion, her performance carried the whole film. I thought she was wonderful; so cold-hearted, unpredictable, powerful, arrogant, evil and beautiful, all the things Jadis needs to be in my opinion. I was very impressed. I loved her in The Beach too, though I havn't seen any of her other films.

She was amazing. The queen of Evil. Her voice, her manners, the way she looked, she ruled.
About her expressions during the fight with Peter, they looked really evil, especially the knowing evil smile. These face expressions reminded me of those , used by Ian McDiarmid (The Emperor from Star Wars) during the fight with Samuel L. Jackson.

Her eyes, rimmed with kohl and shadows, seem to hold a hidden power. Her attire is equally as enchanting, with velvet cloaks, lace-trimmed dresses, and tall, pointy boots. The gothic witch is the epitome of elegance and eerie beauty. While some may associate witches with evil intentions, the gothic witch is often misunderstood. She may have a broomstick and a cauldron, but her powers are not always used for wicked purposes. In folklore, witches were believed to possess knowledge and wisdom beyond the ordinary. They were healers, wise women, and protectors of nature. The gothic witch, with her enigmatic aura, embodies this duality of power and benevolence. During Halloween, the gothic witch becomes a popular costume choice for many. People enjoy creating their own interpretations of the character, adding their personal touch to the enigmatic allure. The gothic witch costume allows individuals to embrace their mysterious side, to explore the realms of magic and fantasy, even if just for one night.
