The default path is Harem path; no walkthrough needed.

There's a good walkthrough on the Wiki, but it's worth doing a playthrough without it first, and seeing what you can find. All the side-content is optional; the central group will advance based on the day-to-day calendar (similar to Persona 4/5).

I've been long wondering how you'd tie that up, but near the end I almost saw it coming.
Looking forward to the final act, eventually. It has been a good going.
. and wasted far too much time I should have probably spenttrying to be productive.

Dunno.. I might, but honestly there's not much value in just seing the sex without the build up or characters.

We do for Paradise Lust, but obviously going back and doing that for 3 books is a non-trivial amount of work. It's also. not really rewarding. Someone who just wants to unlock the sex content in Love of Magic would be better off playing a pure Fap game; they do it better than I do, because that's what their focus is on, while mine is on storytelling and characters.

I agree with Avaron1974, I'd love to see more aciton with the changer guard, for me specifically that would be Kath. I'd also love to see something with Jannice too, perhaps as some sort of flashback to that month she and Chloe spent with the MC's father as I don't tihnk incest would fit with the rest of the narrative.

I also think the franchise potential of this world is pretty big, and I hope that may be explored after completion. Probably heard this several times already!
The lore already lends to several prequels, the creation of the firstborn for instance. Game called Pantheon where you send your children off to colonise parts of the world.
The whole Merlin/Arthur Saga. Maybe playing as Lancelot.
Chloe's adventures.
Though unsure how the game will officially end, even just a sequel focusing more on the kingdom and diplomacy in the afternmath of what I assume will be victory. Dealing with different kinds of threats, and exploring the Elsewhere over the continent.
A Netflix series - storywise I think it could easily challenge other fantasy-drama types, though obviously the sex scenes wouldn't be quite as they are now with many cut. And probably a big leap to get there, but we can dream!

In general, too many fantasy series overstay their visit. I don't want to do that.

Having said that, I do love many of the characters. Some of them are re-joining me in the next game, Morningstar, which you can see more about on the Discord as I test out the first few days. Much like Chloe moves from Making Movies to Love of Magic, a number of characters are joining Morningstar, including Emily, Katie, Molly, Chloe and Snowdrop. It's a different universe, but. the same souls? It mirrors a few of the discussions Emily and MC have in LoM book3.

I'll be sad to see this universe end when the story does, you've created so much lore and world-building that the place genuinely feels alive beyond the story itself. But, it's understandable, this is your story to tell, after all, and clearly you have others to share.

But, glad to see Molly and Chloe especially will be around for some more. fun in the future! They are probably my two favourite of the romancables. I'll check out Discord, thanks.

Glad Molly is going to be making a comeback in the new game. Hard to imagine she was one of the least popular characters at the start of book 1. Now she's number 2 in my top girls of the game list. Only reason she isn't number 1 is nobody beats Bella.

Dunno. what Jannice does is subconscious. Molly takes on the combined might of all the Outsiders in Mexico City and changes their perception of reality long enough for the chopper to get in striking distance. When they crashed it wasn't because they overpowered her but, her body gave out under the strain. I say she pretty much rocked it!

Gotta admit though. Jannice has The Oldest hanging by a thread at the wedding. If the two of them ever want the same thing. I guess that could be heaven or it could be hell.

Molly IS impressive, but as Old Horny said at the wedding, even a full assault by Outsiders couldn't break the magic she was subconsciously weaving around Camelot. Molly is strong, but also drawing from MC. Janice is just Janice flying solo, and bending reality without thinking about it.

Absolutely, Bella is the better choice all round.

Jalsa may win the fight but, as I said, she's insane and fighting is all she wants to do. Bella also uses her head.

The more important reason for not making Jalsa chosen would be she doesn't really get on with others and her clashing with the rest of the chosen and Emily wouldn't be good.

Just because I think she'd win fights, doesn't mean I think she's the better choice for chosen.

If war was a constant and they lived in some weird Warhammer like world where fighting happened all the time then Jalsa would make a great chose.

Once this war is over, having a near insane warmonger in the middle of a civilian city would never work.

It ain't happening either way. The way her powers work is both local and cannot contradict The Voice's plans. The fact that the MC even noticed it happening is The Voices basically refusing what she's trying through the MC. I mean, good thing too. MC would probably destroy the reality since him having a normal life means no Emily. So, phew there. She is powerful (in a very limited sense) and trying to harm her is mostly just suicide with extra steps, but she's not that OP.

Droid often compare her sorcery to a child with a parent. The Voices would do most things for her if it means her being happy. But if The Voices disagree, she goes to her room. Granted, she's much more in-tune with the Voices plus her being pretty content at simple life makes it only happen very rarely, but we know that there are instances it does. Examples of those happening are her not being able to stop her father going to war, Horney being able to leave her, and MC noping her sorcery at the beginning of B2. Heck, the very beginning of the game is pretty much MC refusing her wish for him not to go to Scotland.

Yeah. Ruining her son's wedding is pretty much not happening. Though let's not make it totally her feat. Molly and MC (who's an even more powerful sorc than she is) are also contributing to that.

Molly: There won't be. The Voices seem very sure.
MC: Your work, or Mom's?
Molly: Both. And yours, Master. It's not often I feel you use Sorcery, but tonight it's alive around you, even before the dance.

And Odin later confirmed that even that is not as impressive as when he swapped Mjolnir. Though the wolves took notice.

So is this download worth it for those of us up-to-date with the last Public release? At >2GB, it's hefty for those of use with a data-cap.

From what I understood, it fixes typos / dialogue / bugs, and adds a couple of extra scenes.

As I'm past all the bugs / dialogue, and can hang on for a couple of extra scenes, is there any other advantage (save-wise, primarily) to playing the Just Released version?

Saves will transfer from 4.5b to the next version?

Saves always transfer, so don't worry about that. If you're data constrained, an easier option is Steam, which only updates what changes. PM me for a steam key.

This update is one of the 'ambient' ones, it doesn't advance the story, but fleshes out the world and improves the total experience. Personally the new Day 75 is worth checking out, but it's a case of your mileage may wary.

I have been enjoying this game, however, I run it on a Mac. Two weeks ago I identified the right folder to use my saves with the previous version. It was working fine and the saves all were available to me. This new update, however, creates a different Unity folder under App Support. I hoped just to be able to move the Saves into that folder. Silly me..

The old folder com.Company.ProductNamecom.Company.ProductName
The new folder com.droidproductions.loveofmagic

The latter is what I would have expected from the literature

Huh, that's weird as hell. I haven't changed anything in terms of savegame locations. And the saves are binary compatible, you can move them around as you like (or even play the Android/OSX savegame on PC). Could you get me a zip file of the savegame folder, let me see what's going on.

Though I would probably love to play this game I cant get it to work, If I start the game it goes right into black screen and then it goes to white screen, is it supposed to load for a while?

Nope it's supposed to play an intro video, and after abour 3 seconds you can click through to the main menu (or wait for the 5 second video to finish playing and auto-advance you). If you drop me the savegame folder (which contains the logs), I may be able to help you. What platform is this on?

As always, I'm an avid supporter of the game and want to play, but when I loaded up 4.11 there's still no icon for the basement/portal at the Crowley I haven't been playing since that didn't work because the game makes it decently obvious you need to go to Elsewhere before the next time you see Emily.

Okay, so just to walk through the steps needed to open the portal, and see what you've missed out on.
- Go to Katie in the gym; she'll tell you about the gems. You ponder to yourself that Chloe might have some
- Talk to Chloe, she will tell you about the portal in the basement
- Go to the basement, check out the portal, realize that you've got no business going in there yourself
- Next morning (if you don't have classes), head out to the University, meet up with Dylan + Katie, then enter Elsewhere.

Strictly speaking you shouldn't need to do the last 2 steps, but it's pretty much the core story, and missing out on it will give you continuity errors later (where did that armor come from?). Last time I just got a savegame; I can have a look again if you zip up the whole folder, so I get all the saves and log files.
