About the Author

Cari Thomas has always loved magic, inspired by her upbringing among the woods and myths of Wales's Wye Valley. She studied English and Creative Writing at Warwick University and Magazine Journalism at The Cardiff School of Journalism. Her first job was at teen Sugar magazine, where she ran the book club and quickly realised she wanted to be the one writing the books instead. She went on to work at a creative agency, spending her spare time researching magic and accumulating an unusual collection of occult books. She wrote her first novel, Threadneedle, while living in London, wandering the city and weaving it with all the magic she wished it contained. She now lives in Monmouthshire with her husband and son, who bears the appropriately Celtic name of Taliesin.

I’ve heard it said that there’s not a great deal of practical difference between a solitary Druid and a Hedgewitch. This little book certainly gives that impression too! Irish pagan Harmonia Saille writes in a warm, friendly and engaging way, giving an overview of the path of the Hedgewitch. What impressed me particularly, was the tackling of ‘connecting with nature’. Many pagan writers will mention the importance of doing this. Few will recognise that you might indeed be a very urban pagan, for whom nature is ‘other’ and somewhere else. This book tackles the issue head on with some fine advice. All of the content is sound, pragmatic and easily worked with. If you’ve already read a few introductions to paganism, witchcraft or druidry and are well under way with your study, then the odds are you know enough not to benefit from this book greatly. However, for the beginner, it’s a fine place to start, small enough not to be intimidating, rich enough to give you plenty to work with, and easy to read. Nice one! ~ Nimue Brown, The Druid Network

Reviews for "Hedge Witch Books for Developing Psychic Abilities"

1. Sarah - 2 stars - I was really looking forward to reading "Hedge witch boks" as I'm a fan of witchcraft-themed books. However, I was sorely disappointed. The characters lacked depth and the storyline was predictable. The author seemed to focus more on describing the witchcraft practices rather than developing a compelling plot. Overall, it felt like a poorly executed attempt at capturing the magic of the witching world. I wouldn't recommend it to those seeking an engaging and immersive read.
2. Alex - 1 star - I found "Hedge witch boks" to be incredibly tedious and uninteresting. The writing lacked finesse and the pacing was painfully slow. The author seemed more concerned with describing every minute detail of the protagonist's daily life rather than progressing the story. The lack of character development made it difficult to connect with any of the characters. Ultimately, I couldn't finish the book as it failed to capture my attention or evoke any sense of intrigue. I would strongly advise against wasting your time on this book.
3. Emily - 2 stars - I had high hopes for "Hedge witch boks" but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The plot was poorly constructed, making it difficult to follow the storyline. The dialogue felt forced and unnatural, making it hard to believe in the authenticity of the characters. Additionally, the writing style was overly descriptive, often veering into unnecessary tangents. I struggled to stay engaged and ultimately felt disconnected from the narrative. While it may appeal to fans of the witchcraft genre, it failed to deliver a compelling story for me.
4. Michael - 2 stars - "Hedge witch boks" was a disappointment. The pacing was uneven, with long stretches of monotony followed by sudden bursts of rushed action. I found it hard to connect with the protagonist as her motivations and emotions were poorly explored. The world-building also left much to be desired, lacking depth and originality. I was hoping for a captivating tale of magic and witches, but was left with a forgettable and unremarkable read. I can't recommend "Hedge witch boks" to others looking for a captivating fantasy read.
