Konami has delayed Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars beyond its previously planned 2023 release window to an unannounced date. It will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam when it launches.

The game introduces so many characters and subplots that it becomes nearly impossible to keep track of what is going on. Additionally, the battles were extremely difficult and unbalanced, making it frustratingly hard to progress in the game. Overall, I was disappointed with this aspect of Suikoden and would not recommend it to others.
2. Mike - 3/5 - The Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars in Suikoden felt tacked on and unnecessary to the overall story. I felt like the game was trying to cram in too many different storylines and it ended up detracting from the main plot. The war sequences were repetitive and lacked excitement, and I found myself losing interest quickly. While I still enjoyed other aspects of Suikoden, I believe this particular storyline could have been better executed.
