The Cursed Witch's Guide to Channeling the Energy of Nine Inch Nails

By admin

Cursed Witch Nine Inch Nails There is a mystifying tale about a cursed witch and a set of nine-inch nails that has intrigued people for centuries. Legend has it that the witch, named Selena, was known for her dark powers and the malicious spells she cast upon unsuspecting victims. It is said that she possessed a set of nine-inch nails, each one imbued with a different curse. These mystical nails were said to have been forged in the depths of a cursed forest, where creatures of the night roamed freely. It is believed that the nails were blessed with the power to bring misfortune and despair to anyone who crossed paths with them. The curses associated with the nails varied in nature.

Someone asked me “Why are you making albums and touring? Is it for the same reasons you did years ago?” In some ways yes, in some ways no. We’re not making any money from putting albums out, but the other side of that is freedom. I’m not worried about charts, I’m not worried about trying to appeal to playlists on radio stations. I just want to make the most challenging, best music I can. And there’s nobody whispering in my ear saying, “Make a nice hit single,” or “Appeal to this sponsor.” And that’s incredibly freeing. I’ve seen what it feels like when you put out music that didn’t work with that machine, and the record label didn’t promote you. The kind of music we’re playing, I don’t see anybody else doing that sort of thing. And I think there’s an appetite for it, and it feels good to us to do it, and it feels like it has purpose and intent. And okay, that’s a pretty good reason to do it. That’s a pretty good reason to be away from home for a while. It’s a good reason to be in the studio and try things that don’t feel comfortable because when it does turn out well, I got something out of that. I feel a little bit better about myself.

And then I realized the only thing I could speak on with authority was something I actually knew about because it came from an honest place versus one of posing. Picking up the sax put me in the mindset of, let s create a collage of sound that was reminiscent of the first Psychedelic Furs album stuff that didn t feel polished.

The curses associated with the nails varied in nature. Some were said to bring physical ailments, causing unexplainable pain or mysterious illnesses. Others were more psychological, targeting the victim's mind and driving them to madness or deep despair.

Nine Inch Nails Enters Its Least Compromising Phase Yet

The rock band’s Bad Witch completes a trilogy of terse, inventive, post-Trump blasts of rage.

In December 2016, I opened an envelope that arrived in the mail, and a fine black dust—like magnet shavings, or gunpowder, or ground-up malice—poured out onto my countertop. It gunked my fingers, and it to this day contaminates the file drawer where I’ve kept the envelope. This was how Nine Inch Nails delivered the band’s then-new album: as something that might stain you. Three decades into making anguished, seductive industrial rock, Trent Reznor had entered his least-compromising phase yet.

Which is saying something, given that this is the guy whose defining hit lobbed the phrase I want to fuck you like an animal into karaoke bars. His 1989 debut, Pretty Hate Machine, paired chintzy synth-pop symphonies with shockingly abject self-loathing, but his true breakthrough of confrontation came with 1992’s Broken, one of the best EPs in rock history. A sorcerer of studio production, Reznor made chainsaw-like guitars somehow gleam pleasurably, screamed fang-sharp hooks, and engineered horror-movie jump scares by switching between silence and noise. One accompanying music video depicted a man putting his genitals into a meat grinder.

There were even rumors of curses that could manipulate fate itself, causing disastrous events to unfold in the lives of those unfortunate enough to be cursed. The cursed witch Selena was said to use these nine-inch nails as her ultimate weapon, inflicting untold suffering upon anyone who crossed her path or fell foul of her dark magic. It is said that she derived immense pleasure from the torment she inflicted, relishing in the pain and suffering she caused. However, the story takes a surprising turn when Selena herself fell victim to her own curse. It is said that in a fit of rage, she accidentally drove one of the cursed nails into her own skin while performing a malicious spell. From that moment on, the tables were turned, and Selena became the tormented victim of her own dark powers. As the curse took hold of her, Selena experienced unimaginable agony and suffering. Her mind spiraled into madness, and her body deteriorated rapidly. It is said that she roamed the cursed forest, forever trapped between worlds, doomed to bear the burden of the curses she once reveled in inflicting. Today, the legend of the cursed witch and her nine-inch nails lives on as a cautionary tale. It serves as a reminder that dark powers and malicious intent often come back to haunt their possessors. The tale sends a chilling message that our actions, no matter how devious, may ultimately be our own undoing..
