The Cursed Liquid Eyeliner: Tips and Tricks for a Flawless Application

By admin

Cursed Liquid Eyeliner Once upon a time, there was a cursed liquid eyeliner that haunted the beauty industry. This mysterious product possessed an enchantment that brought misfortune and chaos to anyone who dared to use it. It was said that the curse originated from an ancient spell cast upon the eyeliner by a vengeful sorceress. Those who wished to enhance their beauty with the cursed eyeliner would unknowingly fall into its trap. As soon as they brushed the product onto their delicate eyelids, a dark, sinister energy would take hold. Their once steady hands would tremble uncontrollably, creating uneven, messy lines instead of the perfect sleekness they desired.

On the whole, this look is an extraordinary idea that s guaranteed to make you stand out at your next Halloween party, just keep in mind that, if you choose to go with it, some people may not want to maintain eye contact with you to avoid becoming statues. One thing to note, because it dries matte, it dries very quickly once it s on the lids so you have to make sure you apply it somewhat quickly because otherwise it will dry on your eyelids and then when you trace over it, it drags away the dried liner.

Cursed liquid eyeliner

Their once steady hands would tremble uncontrollably, creating uneven, messy lines instead of the perfect sleekness they desired. But the misfortune did not end there. The cursed eyeliner had a tendency to smudge and smear within moments of application, despite its claims of being waterproof and long-lasting.

Product Review: L’Oreal Telescopic Liquid Eyeliner in Carbon Black

I’ve finally reached the tail end of my cold, which for me means I’m cursed with an irritated/dry throat and have spontaneous coughing fits, not fun. But thankfully the major part of the sinusitis is gone, so no longer is my face throbbing! Although I am not 100% better, I am WAAAY better than I was at the end of last week!

So if most of you have been around for the past little while, you know that over the summer I was in love with the Maybelline Master Precise liquid eyeliner pen, it was basically the liquid eyeliner I wore almost daily. And my holy grail drugstore eyeliner is the L’Oreal Lineur Intense in Carbon Black, I JUST bought a new one, I’ve been using this eyeliner for about 7 years or so! And another liquid liner that I’ve reviewed on here is the Maybelline Line Stiletto. If you can’t tell, I love experimenting with drugstore liquid liners because I think people don’t give them enough credit, but of course there are ones that are misses (but this is also true for high end liners)!
So now I have another drugstore liquid liner to review, the L’Oreal Telescopic Liquid Eyeliner in Carbon Black. I believe this retails for around $11-12 CAD for 2.45 mL of product. I bought this all because I found the packaging to be deceiving! On the packaging it makes it look like it has a short BRUSH tip, but the actual product has a short FELT tip. I actually don’t like (short) felt tip liquid eyeliners because I find them to be too hard. When you fiddle around with the tip against the plastic bottle, it seems flexible, but it doesn’t seem as flexible when it’s against the delicate skin of your eyelids. The colour is a very bold black, and it dries completely matte which people may or may not like. One thing to note, because it dries matte, it dries very quickly once it’s on the lids so you have to make sure you apply it somewhat quickly because otherwise it will dry on your eyelids and then when you trace over it, it drags away the dried liner. In terms of application, it’s manageable; and because it has a pointy tip, a wing is very easily do-able. Since it has a pointed tip, it’s hard to draw with the tip, so you have to use it on the side to trace the rest of the lid; I personally don’t like this because I find the tip to be hard so I have to draw it on in short strokes rather than as one single gliding movement.

  • dries matte (I’m rather indifferent, but this can be a pro or con)
  • bold black colour
  • sufficient product comes out after dipping the felt tip into the tube
  • doesn’t dry out in the bottle
  • good for winging out eyeliner
  • great staying power – need makeup remover to take it off
  • affordable ($11-12 CAD, can probably find it on sale from time to time)

CONS:

  • felt tip is short and a bit stiff – lacks flexibility (but there are other felt tip liners out there that lack flexibility more than this)
  • dries quickly so have to work with it quickly to prevent it from dragging from your lids
  • small amount of product (2.45 mL)
  • picture on packaging is deceiving (looks like a brush but is actually a felt tip)
  • pointed end is a bit hard so it may feel like it’s scratching your eyelid

My verdict on this is that it’s an OKAY liquid eyeliner, the main deal breaker for me is the fact that it’s a short felt tip liner, I like my brush tipped liners! I am pretty sure that I will use it up, but I probably won’t repurchase it again. In saying all this, this is my opinion, and I know there are people that do enjoy felt tip liners, so if you like them, then I’d definitely recommend trying this, but if you’re not a fan of them, then I’d definitely skip out on this one.

Reviews for "Cursed Liquid Eyeliner: How to Fix Common Application Mistakes"

1. Sarah - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with the Cursed liquid eyeliner. First of all, it was extremely difficult to apply. The brush was so flimsy and didn't hold enough product, so I had to keep going over the line multiple times. Even then, the color payoff was very weak. It was more of a faded gray than a true black. Secondly, the formula smudged and transferred easily. I waited for it to dry, but it still ended up smudging all over my eyelids within a couple of hours. Overall, I would not recommend this eyeliner at all. There are so many better options available in the market.
2. Michael - 1/5 - This cursed liquid eyeliner was a total waste of money. Firstly, the packaging was terrible. The product leaked all over the cap, making it extremely messy to use. Moving on to the actual formula, it was just terrible. The consistency was too thin, and it didn't apply smoothly at all. It ended up looking patchy and uneven on my lids. Additionally, it dried out within a couple of weeks of purchase, which is just unacceptable for a liquid eyeliner. Save your money and invest in a better quality product.
3. Emily - 2/5 - I had high hopes for the Cursed liquid eyeliner, but it fell flat on its promises. The pigmentation was very weak, and I had to go over my lash line multiple times to get a somewhat decent black color. Even then, it wasn't as intense as I prefer. The worst part is that it started flaking off within a few hours of application. It was embarrassing to have black flakes all over my face. I don't know if I got a defective product, but based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend it. There are definitely better alternatives out there.
