Cherry Magic and the Vietsub Revolution in Thailand

By admin

"Cherry Magic Thailand Vietsub" refers to the Thai adaptation of the Japanese drama series "Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?". The Thai version was released with Vietnamese subtitles, hence the term "Vietsub". The original Japanese series gained immense popularity for its unique storyline and charming characters. It follows the life of Adachi, a 30-year-old office worker who has the ability to read the thoughts of anyone he touches. Adachi has always been an introvert and has never been in a relationship due to his unique ability. However, his life takes a turn when he accidentally touches his colleague, Kurosawa, and realizes that Kurosawa has been harboring feelings for him all along.

Cherry Magic Episode 5

Karan being jealous and delusional is understandable and fully relatable, but he irked me with how possessive he was (in his mind) of Achi. Like, he cannot even be worried about his friend without you getting jealous?? And I get why Achi would feel uncomfortable being alone with him after finding out that he wants to *marry* him ------ The poor guy who keeps getting called 'uncle' is ONE YEAR older than his partner, keep that in mind lol. But they're cute iguess. I nearly died of cringe while watching the dance-off, that was hard for me omg----- The last confession was a very main character moment, imagine being one of those people on the boat lmao

Reviews for "From Thai Fans to International Viewers: Cherry Magic's Global Appeal"

1. John - 2 stars
I was really excited to watch "Cherry Magic Thailand vietsub" as I had heard great things about the original Japanese version. However, I was left disappointed with this adaptation. The main issue was the poor acting and lack of chemistry between the actors. The performances felt forced and unnatural, which made it hard for me to connect with the characters. Additionally, the pacing of the show was off, with certain scenes dragging on for too long and others feeling rushed. Overall, I felt that this version failed to capture the charm and heart of the original, making it a letdown for me.
2. Lisa - 1 star
I could barely make it through the first few episodes of "Cherry Magic Thailand vietsub". The storyline felt weak, and the characters lacked depth and development. The writing was subpar, with dialogue that felt forced and cliché. The whole production felt cheap and poorly executed. The sets and costumes looked low-budget, and the cinematography was unimpressive. I understand that adaptations can sometimes fall short, but this one was a massive disappointment. I would not recommend wasting your time on this version if you're a fan of the original.
3. David - 2 stars
As a fan of the original "Cherry Magic," I was excited to see this Thai adaptation. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The chemistry between the two main characters felt off, and the romantic tension that made the original so captivating was lacking here. The changes made to the storyline and characters didn't resonate with me, and it felt like a watered-down version of the original. While I appreciate the effort to bring this story to a different audience, I would recommend sticking to the Japanese version for a more satisfying experience.
