These conflicts often resulted in epic battles of magic, with spells and enchantments being thrown left and right. As the tale unfolds, it becomes apparent that the emperor's use of witchcraft was not solely for personal gain and power. He genuinely believed that he was using his abilities to maintain order and protect his kingdom from external threats. Yet, his methods were often ruthless and fueled by a hunger for control.
