Most of the time, I felt like I was reading about a slightly different version of Sita - not only because of what Jessie does or says, but also because of some small or not-so-small incidents scattered through the book. Apparently the Korean girl has a super-powered healing factor even though she s not a witch, tied somehow to the death of her twin sister, who presumably channels the power through her.
She joins forces with other teenagers in Paradise who also possess magical powers, including Amy, a popular girl with a secret, and Shadow, a mysterious and powerful witch. Throughout the Witch World series, the protagonists face various challenges and threats. They must confront evil witches who seek to use their powers for nefarious purposes, battle supernatural creatures, and unravel the mysteries of their own pasts.
