“Blood In Blood Out” star Damian Chapa’s Facebook page is filled with events marking the film’s 30th anniversary, and two of them are in the San Antonio area. Chapa, who played Miklo in the 1993 cult classic about gang life in East Los Angeles, will meet fans from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 12th & 13th at Traders Village, 9333 SW Loop 410. He will be joined by Victor Rivers, who plays Magic in the movie. Tickets will only be sold at the Ten. There will be a Vato Loco merchandise booth at the appearances, and the actors will sign anything purchased from it for free. They will sign items from elsewhere for a fee — $20 in New Braunfels and $40 in San Antonio.

“Blood In Blood Out” didn’t initially make much of a splash. It opened out of the top 10 when it was released April 30, 1993, under the title “Bound By Honor.” But it struck a chord with Latino audiences when it hit home video.
