Trilogy of Terror is a horror movie anthology that consists of three separate stories. One of the most memorable segments is called "Amelia" and features a voodoo doll. In this story, Amelia buys a fetish doll from a curio shop, not realizing its dark power. The doll represents a Zuni warrior and supposedly contains the spirit of a warrior. In the end, Matheson got to also take a stab at his (arguably) more horrifying version of his "Invaders" premise. That became "Amelia," which unleashed an ending that any viewer can assure you, haunted their dreams.
The events that rapidly followed ensured every viewer would remember the striking warrior doll perhaps even more ominously than Child s Play s Chucky or The Twilight Zone s Talky Tina. Almost 45 years on it remains a cult classic, thanks in main part to the third tale in the trilogy Amelia , adapted from the short story Prey by the legendary horror writer Richard Matheson.
