Once upon a time, in a mystical land, there was a wicked witch known as 3DS. She had a reputation for her sinister ways and the dark magic she possessed. Whispers of her cunning and deceitful nature reached every corner of the kingdom, striking fear into the hearts of its inhabitants. The fable of the sinister witch 3DS recounts the tale of a young, innocent girl named Lily who stumbled upon the witch's lair while exploring the enchanted forest. Lily, filled with curiosity and a desire for adventure, naively entered the cave and found herself face to face with the malevolent 3DS. As bright-eyed Lily approached, the witch sensed an opportunity to exploit her innocence.
Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop
For those not familiar with the original, the story opens with the evil Beanish witch Cackletta and her assistant Fawful arriving at the Mushroom Kingdom as ambassadors from the Beanbean Kingdom. It s an active map that tracks your character s location and occasionally shows a marker to indicate where you have to go next, which makes getting lost much harder though not impossible, hence my aforementioned sneaky walkthrough peek.
As bright-eyed Lily approached, the witch sensed an opportunity to exploit her innocence. 3DS, always seeking to grow her powers, made a deal with the young girl. She promised to grant Lily anything her heart desired, in exchange for a small favor: the retrieval of a rare and powerful gem from a hidden temple deep within the enchanted forest.
3DS and Wii U games not yet available on Nintendo Switch - Complete Database (in progress)
This is an attempt at creating a complete database of all 3DS and Wii U games that didn't make the cut to the Switch (from Nintendo masterpieces to shovelware).
As it stands, the "raw data", consisting of just the list of the last-gen non-Switch games, is already gathered. This is, however, still a working progress as much more can be done, for example classify the games in categories such as "Third Party", "Indie Gem", "Shovelware", among others. Other information such as each game's developer would also enrich this list.
The idea behind this list is manly software preservation, because someday the other consoles' eShops will close and similarly to the Wii Shop channel some games may be lost, and with this database we know which of the bunch are not "safe" on Switch. But this is also a matter of consistency across Nintendo platforms, hence the inclusion of games with physical version. The Switch is such an amazing and successful console that, in my opinion (and of many here in this sub), it would be amazing if virtually every game was ported to it (or at least every Nintendo related one) .
There is some subjectivity in this selection of games, because we didn't include games that already have a improved version on the Switch (games that include the vast majority of the base game content), so for example Smash 4 is not here, because almost everything it had to offer is replicated in Ultimate. In the other hand, Mario Kart 7 is in fact listed, because very few of it's tracks are represented in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
The criteria used are as follows:
- Every original 3DS game not on Switch is featured
- If a game is in both 3DS and Wii U but not in Switch, it appears listed as 3DS game (because the 3DS outlived the Wii U and probably so will it's eShop)
- Every original Wii U game not on 3DS and not on Switch is featured
- This searched is based on the PAL games of the consoles and in Nintendo's official website
- If a game has a port/enhanced version/remake announced for the Nintendo Switch (e.g. Super Mario 3D World) it is off the list.
The idea of this post is creating this database together as a fun little fan project, seeing as it is incomplete and can have a much better organization and presentation that it has as of this moment.
- Adding the other regions (NA and Japan)
- Tag the games as "Indie Gem", "Shovelware".
- Associate to each game a possible reason for why the port hasn't happened yet (e.g. extinct developer, technical difficulties, irrelevance, etc. )
- Group the numbers in graphs or other more pleasant presentation
- Create dream ports to Switch (a favorite of this sub :) ) based on the games yet to port (not only of a simple game like Xenoblade Chronicles X for Switch but for example: Etrian Odyssey Collection, based on the fact that there are a bunch of games from that series "stuck" on the 3DS)

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months as the young girl tirelessly searched for the gem, unaware of the witch's true intentions. The witch, fueled by her thirst for power, had no intention of fulfilling her end of the bargain. She yearned to use the gem's magical properties to further enhance her already formidable abilities, and to unleash havoc upon the land. Unbeknownst to the witch, small animals watched from the shadows as Lily diligently searched for the gem. They knew of 3DS and her malevolence, and they also knew of the gem's true nature. These wise creatures, possessing an ancient knowledge of the forest and its magic, whispered to Lily in her dreams, warning her of the witch's sinister intentions. Over time, Lily began to question the witch's true motives. She began to see through the witch's deception and realized the danger that lay ahead. Filled with a newfound determination, Lily resolved to outsmart the wicked 3DS and put an end to her reign of terror. Armed with the knowledge bestowed upon her by the forest creatures, Lily devised a plan to outwit the witch. With each step she took, the young girl grew stronger and more confident. Meanwhile, whispers of her courage and resilience reached the ears of the kingdom's inhabitants, who offered their support and assistance. Finally, the day arrived when Lily would confront 3DS once and for all. Armed with the rare gem she had found, Lily stood tall and resolute in the face of the witch's malevolence. She no longer feared 3DS or the dark magic she possessed. In a tense battle, Lily used her newfound strength and cunning to defeat the sinister witch. With one final blow, the witch's powers were severed, and the land rejoiced as the evil that had plagued them was vanquished. The fable of the sinister witch 3DS serves as a reminder that even in the face of darkness, courage and determination can prevail. It teaches us to question and challenge deceitful forces and to trust in our own abilities. We are reminded that true power lies not in elusive promises, but in the strength of our character and the support of those around us..

I was extremely disappointed with "The Fable of the Sinister Witch" for the 3DS. The game lacked any sort of engaging storyline and the characters were one-dimensional. The graphics were also very poor, with pixelated visuals and choppy animations. The gameplay itself was tedious and repetitive, with no real challenges or excitement. Overall, I would not recommend this game to anyone looking for a worthwhile gaming experience on the 3DS.
2. Sarah - 2 stars:
I had high hopes for "The Fable of the Sinister Witch" but was ultimately let down. The game had a promising concept, but it fell flat in execution. The controls were clunky and unresponsive, making it frustrating to navigate through the levels. Moreover, the gameplay lacked depth and variety, making it feel monotonous after a short period of time. Additionally, the game suffered from frequent glitches and bugs that further detracted from the overall experience. I would not recommend wasting your time or money on this game.

As a fan of the previous installments in the series, I was excited to play "The Fable of the Sinister Witch" on the 3DS. However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment. The game seemed rushed and unfinished, with poor attention to detail. The dialogue was poorly written and filled with clichés, and the voice acting was subpar. Furthermore, the puzzles and challenges in the game were too simplistic and lacked depth. Overall, it felt like a watered-down version of the previous games, and I was left feeling unsatisfied.

I would advise anyone considering this game to look elsewhere for a more engaging and enjoyable gaming experience.
