The Story of the Magic Needle:
Once upon a time there was a woman who picked up a needle and thread. She had been taught the fine art of needlework by her mother and used it to create something that made her smile and gave her joy.

One day she received a message from a mysterious old crone asking her to create a magic picture for her. Despite not knowing what the picture was for, the woman agreed and set about stitching the image of a unique flower with the magical thread and needle she had been given.

She sewed all day and night until she was finished. Finally, when the last stitch had been put in place, she set her work down and fell asleep. When she awoke she was amazed to find that the flower she had created on the fabric had bloomed into a real flower and was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.

When the old crone returned to the woman she was delighted to find the flower as she had intended. With care she plucked a single petal from the flower and placed it in a flask she pulled from her pocket. As the crone drank the mixture within she suddenly transformed into a beautiful young princess.

The princess thanked the needle worker again and again and told her that a spell had been placed on her by a witch and the magic flower was the last ingredient she had needed for her potion to break the curse.

As a reward for helping her, the princess promised the woman an endless supply of the magical thread. And so, for the rest of her days the needle worker stitched flowers that sprang to life and filled her garden. People came from all over to see it and the ill found many remedies amongst her blooms.

And thus with needle and thread, stitch by stitch, the woman made the world a more beautiful place.

I say believe because I think a somewhat glaring omission from the text is there is no indication what the cost of these tats should be. Obviously it would scale with size like real tattoos but how much are we talking here?
