Devils does other styles better. They have some work yo do with juicy and hazy.. Not horrible but not avg either. Maybe a good choice for less craft guests.

6 oz draft pour. Appearance is translucent pale yellow with an off-white head. Aroma and flavor feature lightly bitter citrusy hops, pine, and biscuity malt. Mouthfeel is slightly boozy with average body and carbonation. Solid.

On draft at TJ Smith's in Warrington, PA

Arrived in a pint glass. Appearance was a translucent, golden yellow color. Thin whitish, film of a head.

Nice aroma of piney, citrusy goodness.

Very good IPA with flavors of malts, citrus, pine and tropical fruits. Very easy drinking. ABV is not noticeable. Slightly bitter aftertaste.

Thinner consistency, medium carbonation.

Overall, a very good tasting IPA. I have tasted other DB offerings and this ranks as one of the better brews I've enjoyed from them. cheers!

Drank from 12oz can "Best by 05/23/23" - Today is 03/27/23

Light, spritzy mouthfeel - Smashable! Not gross after cracking can #4. "Juicy" fruits coming from the hops, as expected. Boquet is, in fact, quite dank at this ripe age of the brew. Everything else here is very "pale". What else do you want from an IPA?

Final note: Sexy buck on the box so I had to purchase it. Sorry, that's how I roll. Yall like titties, I like horns.

A- pours a weak looking cooper color with two finger head that rapidly goes away

S- pine, orange, tangerine, lemon

T-Hops, pine resin, a bit of orange. This isn’t juicy. As a West Coast IPA it’s good. But there is no juicy in this magic.

M- decent body, weird after taste consistency

O-If it didn’t have juicy slapped all over it, I would probably have rated it higher as it’s a solid basic IPA. But as an NEIPA it seems like they just slapped a juicy label on a normal Ipa and called it a day. I’m not even into big juicy hazy bois but I also don’t like being misled

L: Clear gold body with a dense white head. Good retention.

S: Tropical fruit, citrus

T: Juicy pineapple and mango. Lacking any bitterness or malt though.

F: A bit thin and watery for a 7% beer.

O: Has some flaws, but still a decent IPA.

Can pour down the center of a tulip glass. Slightly murky yellow with moist fruity head. Smell and taste is tropical and citrus fruit, hoppy, slight sweetness. Mouthfeel is moderate and creamy.

Nice head and tasty bread note and tropical fruit so the early pieces are in place. Kind of dry in flavor, with medicinal and herbal notes but little bitterness as such. Solid resin action in the finish. Worth a try for the style.

Smells sweet. Kind of tropical fruit and mild hops. Tastes of pineapple and a hint of mango. Not too bitter, kind of sweet actually. If you’re looking for a super hoppy IPA experience, this may fall short for you. It’s a thin, sweet beer and is easy drinking. I would recommend this for someone who is interested in trying an IPA but doesn’t really like a super bitter hop explosion.

Good IPA!! I had 2 12 oz. cans at Bonzer's Shack in Kill Devil Hills NC. Poured into a pint glass, this beer presented a beautiful clear gold color with a medium sized frothy white head. Head retention was pretty good considering it was served in a frosted pint glass. There was some lacing on the glass. A good looking beer. Aroma and taste included good bitterness, some piney and fruity (orange, mango etc.) hops and some biscuity malt. Mouthfeel is nicely bitter and crisp. No hint of alcohol despite 7% .abv. A solid IPA.

LOOK: Pours a bright and clear pale straw to gold color with a slightly off white head that fades rather quickly to a thin skin. It does provide some decent side glass lace.
AROMA: Tropical fruits, including some mango. Also get a little apricot and floral aromatic hops.
TASTE: Tropical, citrus fruits are prominent here.
A bit thin and falls short of being a beer to brag on. Not bad but not a head turner.

Appearance:
Pristine, yellow-gold with streamers of champagne bubbles, culminating in a tremendous of head of billowy, white suds. But, as the saying goes: twice as bubbly, half as long. Those two fingers of foam disappear quicker than if they’d just been hit with court-ordered alimony.

Bouquet:
A lightning strike of red mango, apricot, and sweetgrass.

Feel:
Light, watery body made to loosen its belt a few notches by the presences of sinuous hop oils which prevent it from being sallow. Carbonation comes in goes in sudden, sharp tickles that fizzle out on the tip of the tongue like spent firecrackers.

Taste:
Timid, herbal hops vapidly jumbled together with dehydrated lemon rind. Finishes on an obscure, but not altogether unwelcome, powdered malt dryness.

Overall:
I guess the “magic” component is that its flavor, aroma, and head all disappear suddenly? Its like you’re just beginning to enjoy the ale’s aspects then some crazed magician sticks his wand in your face and *poof* gone.

From the can, it pours a clear golden color with a nice dense white head that lasts and leaves lacing. In the nose, it is citrus forward. In the mouth, it is lightly citrus and malty. Pleasant.

Reviews for "Surf Curse Music Event: Discovering the Next Big Names in Indie Music"

1. Emily - 1/5 stars - I attended the Surf Curse music event last night and was extremely disappointed. The sound quality was terrible, with the vocals barely audible over the loud instruments. It was impossible to enjoy the music when you couldn't even hear what the singer was saying. Additionally, the venue was overcrowded and lacked proper ventilation, making it unbearable to stay for long periods of time. Overall, the event was a complete letdown and not worth the money.
2. James - 2/5 stars - As a fan of Surf Curse, I was excited to attend their music event. However, I was left feeling underwhelmed and frustrated. The band seemed unenthusiastic and lacked energy on stage, which made for a lackluster performance. The setlist also didn't flow well, with abrupt transitions between songs that disrupted the overall experience. Although the venue was decent, the overall atmosphere was lackluster. It's safe to say that I won't be attending another Surf Curse event anytime soon.
3. Amanda - 3/5 stars - The Surf Curse music event was an okay experience overall. While I enjoyed some aspects of the concert, there were also certain shortcomings that prevented it from being great. The band had some great moments where they showcased their talent and engaged with the audience, but there were also several points where the performance felt lackluster and disorganized. The event was decently organized, but the sound quality could have been better. Overall, it was an average music event that didn't exceed my expectations.
4. Mark - 2/5 stars - I had high hopes for the Surf Curse music event, but unfortunately, it fell short in several aspects. The band's performance was lackluster and felt rushed, as if they were simply going through the motions. The venue was overly crowded, making it difficult to fully enjoy the music without constantly being bumped into by other attendees. In addition, the event lacked adequate restroom facilities, resulting in long lines and a frustrating experience. Overall, I was disappointed with the overall execution of the Surf Curse music event.
