Get Inspired: Jaw-Dropping Stone Patio Designs

By admin

Creating a stone patio can add a touch of magic to any outdoor space. The natural beauty of stone brings warmth and elegance to the backyard, turning it into a cozy retreat. With the right design and materials, a stone patio can become the centerpiece of a garden, providing a place for relaxation and entertainment. One of the main advantages of a stone patio is its durability. Stone is a long-lasting material that can withstand harsh weather conditions and heavy foot traffic. Unlike wood or concrete, stone does not require frequent maintenance and is less likely to crack or warp over time.

Delicious IPA

From the beginning, Stone has been obsessed with the mission of providing people access to high-quality craft beer. After all, great beer is for everyone and anyone with the good taste to recognize it, not just a niche group like us uber beer geeks. So, when we developed this pleasantly bitter, deliciously citrusy, hop-driven IPA, we took it as an opportunity to go a step further and do something we’d spent over a year researching and perfecting: creating a beer that makes it possible for nearly everyone to experience our aggressive, no-holds-barred approach to craft brewing. It’s a flavorful, cutting-edge, modern-day IPA for everyone. Lemondrop and El Dorado hops provide plenty of fruit citrus character and a burst of hop zing that sings on the palate. We’re proud to present it to those who already know us for our IPA prowess and to those who, so far, have only heard legends.

Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is straw gold, head is off white and presents one finger thick, head dissipates to a solid top with some lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is bread, light toast, some fruitiness with a light grape must sense, hint of citrus and light tropicals.

Taste is sweeter malt with notes of bread and toast, light sweet fruit undertone of grape and citrus, very subtle spice and herbal quality, flavors more notable than aroma.

Mouthfeel is low carbonation, stronger sweetness, moderate bitterness.

Overall a sweeter DIPA with light herbal and grape must notes, solid bready maltiness.

Drank at Aristocrat in Indianapolis. Second pour looked completely different than the first, good flavor both times - nothing to write home about,
But still solid and made me drunk

Poured out of a 12 oz. can into my tulip glass, this beer pours a fairly sedimenty, medium golden color w/ a bit of a copper hue color w/ a few streams of little bubbles continuously rise to the beer's surface. Has a very nice white head that’s an inch thick when first poured. The sediment is most likely from the grapes and the phantasm, which is made grape skin extract. Has a huge, fluffy, just slightly off-white, foam head that's well over an inch thick when first drawn and served. Has excellent retention. Head eventually settles to a thick surface coating along w/ a very thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with big cluster swirls of foam on the beer's surface and some very nice lacing. Aromas of some bready, slightly toasted malts that's followed by a pungent fruity aroma of grape, orange pee, tangerine, mango, and papaya and some herbal and floral hop notes. Flavors of some bready, slightly toasted malts that's followed by the fruit notes I referred to above that’s followed by the floral, herbal and citrus hop bitterness. The flavors are all nicely integrated. Has a crisp, also smooth, slightly frothy, medium and full body mouth feel with moderate carbonation. The flavors all linger very nicely on my palate for the aftertaste. An interesting and tasty take here on this style.

Notes via stream of consciousness: I like the name for this one but I'm not really sure why. More importantly, I think the combination of white grape skins and sweet orange peel is interesting so let's get to it. It's poured a hazy golden-amber beneath a finger's width of dense off-white foam. I was expecting a little more from the aroma but there's enough there. I get both the grape and the orange peel so I have no complaints there. It's fresh and welcoming. Will it taste the same? The answer is yes, and no. It's a double IPA at 8.8% ABV with hops so there's got to be some variation. It's malty with a bready and wheaty character. Floral, citrusy, otherwise fruity, and spicy notes balance it. The label states that there are three hops in use here but I'm only familiar with the Mosaic. I'm not getting the berries often found in Mosaic but it is floral, grassy, spicy, and lightly piney. Whatever they're using it works for me. I'm finding some papaya and mango as well. You get a little bit of the alcohol, more than just an impression of it, which is actually nice; that helps to balance it. It finishes dry and I get the white grape at the point, along with spiciness, and then a hint of orange before it fades. In the mouth it's medium bodied and dextrinous, and gently crisp-then-smooth except for the snap of alcohol. All told there's something quite unique about it, and it's pleasant as well; or at least as pleasant as a double IPA can be! On that note it's not overdone with malt as some examples can be, and it doesn't feel heavy. I rather like it but that's up to you to decide for yourself.

Introducing Stone Patio Magic Double IPA

ESCONDIDO, Calif.— Stone Brewing announces a new beer to ring in that springtime patio sippin.’ Stone Patio Magic Double IPA showcases Stone’s commitment to innovation with the use of Sauvignon Blanc grape skin extract and an experimental hop variety from Hop Breeding Company (HBC). It is now available nationwide.

Stone Patio Magic Double IPA offers an explosion of flavor and aroma with a smooth and creamy palate that makes it easy to keep enjoying, like that sunset golden hour on the back patio. Aromas of candied orange, mango and guava give way to flavors of citrus blossom honey, mango, cherry cordial, white wine and papaya. While the experience is enchanting, it’s how the brewers conjured up these flavors that’s especially magical.

Stone Patio Magic Double IPA is Stone’s first commercial release using the innovative Sauvignon Blanc grape skin extract from New Zealand called Phantasm. When making white wine, grapes are pressed off their skins. Those skins are used to develop Phantasm, as they have compounds that produce many of the desirable fruit characteristics also found in hops. In combination with certain yeasts and hops it intensifies the flavor and aroma experience.

Stone has long been committed to experimenting with unique hop varieties and supporting hop growers in their breeding programs. Stone Patio Magic Double IPA exemplifies that spirit. The beer is brewed with the experimental hop HBC 843 from Hop Breeding Company, which has orange, berry, floral and wood notes. Stone’s brewers walk the fields with breeders every harvest and give feedback on experimental varieties. They trial beers using experimental hops on Stone’s pilot brewing systems and send beer and sensory data back to the breeders, growers and vendors. While HBC 843 comes from the private company, HBC, Stone participates with similar exploration and support for public breeding companies through the Hop Research Council and Hop Quality Group.

“Stone Patio Magic Double IPA is such a complex and innovative beer,” explained Jeremy Moynier, Sr. Manager of Brewing & Innovation. “Phantasm and HBC 843 are complemented by the addition of Orange Peel, Centennial, Mosaic and Southern Aroma hops from South Africa, the latter of which contribute notes of passion fruit and lychee. Nailing the flavor profile with this unique combination of ingredients was a lot of fun.”

The right beer at the right time can be truly magical and Stone Patio Magic Double IPA is just the 8.8% wonder to extend that day-end golden hour.

Stone patio magic

There are various types of stone available, each with its own unique texture and color, allowing homeowners to create a customized look for their outdoor space. From classic flagstone to modern limestone, there is a stone to suit every style and preference. Additionally, stones can be laid in different patterns such as herringbone or basketweave, adding visual interest to the patio. It absorbs the warmth of the sun during the day and releases it slowly during the evening, creating a cozy atmosphere for outdoor gatherings. Additionally, the natural texture of stone provides a non-slip surface, making it safe for children and pets. To create a stone patio, proper planning and installation are crucial. It is recommended to hire a professional contractor who specializes in stone work to ensure a proper foundation and drainage system. The size and shape of the patio should be determined based on the available space and intended use. Whether it is a small intimate area or a large entertainment space, the patio should be designed to maximize functionality and comfort. 1. John Smith - 1 star
I was extremely disappointed with the "Stone patio magic" product. The instructions were unclear and confusing, making it difficult for me to lay down the stones properly. Additionally, the stones provided were of poor quality and did not fit together well. After spending hours trying to make it work, I finally gave up and decided to hire a professional to fix my patio. I do not recommend this product to anyone looking to improve their outdoor space.
2. Sarah Thompson - 2 stars
I had high hopes for the "Stone patio magic" but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The product claimed to be easy to use and promised a beautiful patio in no time, but that was far from the reality. The stones were uneven and didn't lock together securely, resulting in a wobbly surface. Moreover, the color of the stones faded unevenly over time, making my patio look old and worn out. I regret investing my money in this product and would advise others to explore alternative options.
3. David Johnson - 2 stars
I found the "Stone patio magic" to be quite frustrating to work with. The assembly process was a nightmare, as the stones didn't fit properly and required excessive force to make them connect. I ended up damaging some of the stones in the process, and they didn't look as aesthetically pleasing as advertised. The overall quality of the product was subpar, and the final result was far from the sleek, polished patio I had envisioned. I would not recommend this product to DIY enthusiasts or anyone looking for a hassle-free patio installation experience.
