How much area does one Illuminator cover, what is the light spread?
The coverage is approximately 25 feet by 25 feet (app rox. 8m x 8m). The further you move the Illuminator from your target, the wider spread you will achieve. The spread will narrow the closer you move the Illuminator to your target, and the light spots will be closer together.
How is the Illuminator powered? Will it work outside the United States?
The Illuminator Laser Light comes with a power adapter with cord that plugs into any 110-volt wall outlet. With a suitable adapter, the Illuminator will work in countries outside the U.S. The plug is currently to USA standard. At this time, we do not supply the 220/240V adapter.
How much power does the Illuminator draw? How long is the cord?
The power consumption is less than 0.8 amps, less than 5 watts, much less than a florescent bulb. The cord is 52 inches and the plug is to USA standards.
Is the Illuminator waterproof?
Yes, the Illuminator is waterproof and suitable for in door or outdoor use.
Does the Illuminator come with a warranty?
We provide a 1-year warranty on the Illuminator Laser Light. Detailed warranty information can be found here.
Are there any concerns with possible legal issues with use of the Illuminator, such as laser lights and airplanes or flight paths?
Generally speaking, the beams will become negligible after 750 feet. Providing the Illuminator is used prop erly and as per the instructions, you should be in compliance if you are not within a mile of an airport.

I bought some cheap Chinese laser fog lights that were rated 200mw. They�re not bright enough. How would your�s compare?

The reason theirs aren't bright is because they start at 200 mw. The diffraction lense brings it down to 1 mw per dot. Ours are 5 mw each dot. Making them 5 x.brighter.

The Illuminator is completely safe to use. The Illuminator is registered with the CDRH (Center for Devices and Radiological Heath) and takes great precautions to ensure user safety. We utilize two diffraction grating lens that disperse the primary laser beam into thousands of less powerful beams. They will not harm your eyes if you accidentally look into them. Of course, forcing yourself to stare into them could potentially harm your eyes as much as forcing yourself to stare into the sun would do. So we advise that doing so would be a bad idea. The illuminator meets all regulatory guidelines for safety in the United States. Just walking by the illuminator or glancing into the lesser beams would not harm you.

Do you have an estimate of the size of the dot pattern when pointed towards the roadway ~10 feet back from a height of 1-2 feet?

The spread is 35' at about 20 feet back. So it should be half of that at that distance.
