By admin

Pallmann Magic Oil Dry is a revolutionary product that is designed to enhance the appearance and durability of hardwood floors. While traditional oil finishes require several days to dry, Pallmann Magic Oil Dry dries in just a few hours, allowing for a faster and more efficient refinishing process. This oil-based finish penetrates deep into the wood fibers, providing long-lasting protection against wear and tear. One of the main advantages of Pallmann Magic Oil Dry is its quick drying time. This allows homeowners and professionals to complete the refinishing process much faster, minimizing downtime and disruption. With other oil finishes, it can take days for the product to fully dry, leaving the floor vulnerable to damage.

Interested to hear actual experience anyone might have. At $150 for the basic size that is a little spendy for me to just buy and play with.

Uh, so, not sure what is supposed to be a "hardwax oil finish" (whatever the heck that means) here.

Component B is 100% a pretty standard 2k urethane.

It works very well, better if you apply one coat, let it dry, sand , apply again.
Never put solvent on.
It is an oil hardened with poliurethane

What's the oil and how do you harden the oil with polyurethane?

As rich is kinda poking at, what is being said here does not make any sense chemically.

Additionally, nothing that would be in a traditional oil shows up in the part A MSDS.

(depending on the type of wax, it would not be reportable)

That doesn't mean this stuff is good or bad, but honestly, as far as i can tell, it's just a urethane with some random crap added.

Calling it *anything else* is just marketing :)

All protection/etc here is provided by the urethane polymer.

You should compare it accordingly.

Yup, a long history in finishes where we've been told it's oil and it's really varnish. Anytime "amazing" gets used in the description, I envision snake oil. I did a little more research and some of those hard wax oil finishes takes hours to dry. That's nothing I would want in a commercial shop. I also prefer a finish that doesn't need frequent repairs, no matter how easy the repair is. Let's just start with a tough finish and go from there.

@Mauricio Thanks for the response. What do you use to apply the oil? Do you apply it wet and heavy and then wipe it off?

For the other questions. briefly, as I want this thread for people who are actually using it it - Pallmann Magic Oil is a flooring finish with lots of good history in Europe and the US including in some intense commercial environments. I heard about it from a flooring guy in midwest that has done 50-100 flooring jobs with it and likes it. https://napervillehardwood.com/blog/the-hardwax-oil-experiment-part-4-pallmann-mag

BTW I don't sell it. I'm just looking to try it for furniture and millwork.

Hi Scott!
Apply with a brush, not so wet, and after clean well with a rag. Let it dry and sand with 360. And repeat again one or two times, it depends the quality you want.

Reviews for "Extending the Lifespan of Your Wood Floors with Pallmann Magic Oil Dry"

1. John - 2/5 - I was not happy with the Pallmann Magic Oil Dry. I found that it did not provide the smooth finish it claimed to do. Instead, the oil left a rough texture on my wooden floors, which was not what I was expecting. Additionally, the drying time was much longer than advertised, causing a lot of inconvenience and disruption to my daily routine. Overall, I was disappointed with the product and would not recommend it for anyone looking to achieve a professional-looking finish on their wood floors.
2. Sarah - 1/5 - The Pallmann Magic Oil Dry product was a complete letdown for me. After spending hours prepping and applying the oil as instructed, I expected a beautiful, dry, and glossy finish. However, what I got was the complete opposite. The oil left a sticky residue that never seemed to fully dry, and it attracted dirt and dust like a magnet. Not only did it ruin the appearance of my wooden floors, but it also required constant cleaning to try and maintain some semblance of cleanliness. I would not recommend this product to anyone in search of a reliable and high-quality wood floor finish.
3. Mark - 2/5 - I had high hopes for the Pallmann Magic Oil Dry, but unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. The first issue I encountered was the strong odor of the product, which lingered in my home for days even after the application. Moreover, the oil did not penetrate the wood as advertised, leaving a streaky and uneven finish. It also took longer to dry than anticipated, causing delays in using the space. Overall, I was not satisfied with this product and would recommend exploring other options for achieving a desirable wood floor finish.
