nubia Red Magic 8S Pro confirmed to have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 at the helm

Anonymous, 29 Jun 2023 So basically the SoC is the same Qualcomm SM8550-AC Snapdr. more They usually release 3 versions, each with a different backplate. The most expensive version is the one that has the transparent back. This has been true for the past few years for Nubia Red Magic phones so I don't expect them to change it anytime soon.

So basically the SoC is the same Qualcomm SM8550-AC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that Samsung S23 series has.
the design on this 8s pro doesn't look as appealing as the transparent one and di we really need 24GB of memory? My current device has 8 and it never have run out.
I would have been interested on the Redmagic 8 Pro but the software support isn't great as i'm planning to keep my phone in use for years.

I'll finally be able to emulate Linux on it without losing performance and finally be able to use it like a real PC, I'm obsessed with the idea that the smartphone can be a pocket PC, especially since the Red Magic are compatible with external screens.

If you want short-term happiness, this phone is for you. It only comes with 1 year security update, so 2 years later your smile's gonna fade away as hackers compromise your account.

In not one to complain about more than 6-8gb of ram. That's just silly. 12-16gb is fine. 24 is pushing it though and wasting resources that could have gone into something else.

rizki1, 27 Jun 2023 Bruh if you want to emulate these consoles even a $200-$300. more Neither 200-300 phone or any switch can emulate the next big thing - pc emulation.

Not even counting the easy piracy on android.

i really cannot understand why release an S model, its not like 3.36ghz is that much different from 3.2ghz. Instead of releasing an S model they should just focus on improving the software and hardware quality of their next phone, maybe a bit of water resistance like on the rog phone.

Anonymous, 27 Jun 2023 Really? Ok how about this lie from Samsung. Five years of A. more The new update policy started with 21 series.
So, from S21 and beyond, flagships will be getting 4 android versions and after that 1 more year of patches.

Obviously that at some point, patches will no longer be monthly. But every 3 months, then every 4 , then every 6.

Anonymous, 27 Jun 2023 Really? Ok how about this lie from Samsung. Five years of A. more Samsung never said the Note 20 series were going to get 5 Android updates, it's the S21 series and after that are getting 4 Android updates, where did you even get the 5 Android updates thing?
And how is this related to the comment you replied to?
If you're CPT power, I'm not really surprised you're acting like that, it's like you never self questioning.

Isn't 8 plus gen 2= 8 gen 2 leading version

rizki1, 27 Jun 2023 Bruh if you want to emulate these consoles even a $200-$300. more Point is can the Switch emulate multiple generation of console games? Yes it's $170 but limited/locked down to only nintendo stuff that you will have to buy games so it's not just $170 since you still gonna buy stupidly expensive games that rarely goes on sale in Nintendo Store.

Anonymous, 27 Jun 2023 8+g2 is what is inside samsung. Qualcomm is not increas. more So apart 24GB ram there will be no difference what a shame.

Silly article. There was never going to be 8+ Gen 2. This Leading Version of 8 Gen 2 is the same as 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy. Therefore tecincally it isn't the same chip as standard 8 Gen 2.

3.36hz 8 gen 2 is actually 8+ gen 2, except that Qualcomm didn't name it that way. There won't be another 8+ gen 2

Reviews for "Steam Deck vs Nubia Red Magic Interface: Which Offers the Best Gaming Experience?"

1. John - 2/5 - The Nubia Red Magic interface on the Steam Deck is a complete disaster! It is clunky and slow, making it frustrating to navigate and find the games I want to play. The interface lacks organization and makes it difficult to search for specific titles. The overall design is unappealing and feels outdated. I expected a better user experience from a gaming device of this caliber. It definitely needs a major overhaul before it can compete with other gaming interfaces on the market.
2. Sarah - 3/5 - While the Nubia Red Magic interface on the Steam Deck has some potential, it falls short in several areas. The navigation system is confusing and lacks intuitive features. It takes too many steps to access basic functions like adjusting settings or launching games. Additionally, the overall layout feels cluttered and overwhelming. The lack of customization options is also disappointing. Overall, the interface feels half-baked and could benefit from significant improvements to provide a more user-friendly and streamlined experience.
3. David - 2/5 - The Nubia Red Magic interface on the Steam Deck is a disappointment. It feels like a cheaply made copy of other gaming interfaces. The layout is confusing, and the icons are poorly designed. The navigation system is slow and laggy, making it frustrating to use. It lacks the smoothness and responsiveness that gamers expect from a high-end device. The overall user experience falls flat, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a seamless gaming experience. It needs a complete overhaul to match the standards set by other gaming interfaces on the market.
