The Magic Baton Effect: How Small Actions Can Create Big Change

By admin

My magic baton Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lily who had a magical baton. This baton had the power to grant wishes. It was a beautiful silver baton with a sparkling gemstone on top. Whenever Lily held the baton and made a wish, it would come true. Lily discovered the baton one day while exploring her grandmother's attic. As soon as she touched it, she felt a surge of energy and knew that it was something special.

Before writing the orchestrated version of Lily’s melody, Fixmer was able to interview her about what inspired her composition. Lily’s melody was meant to portray a walk one might take through a rose garden on a beautiful moonlit night, arriving at a grand ballroom covered in beautiful gold mosaics for an evening gala. With this information, he orchestrated a two-and-a-half-minute piece for the symphony, attempting to capture the grandeur of her story.

He said, that s what a lot of amazing artists said when they wrote their masterpiece, drew their masterpiece, but they will always say they can do better because that s what artists and creatives do. The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra and composer-in-residence David Fixmer created the inaugural Magic Baton Melody Contest, a composition contest serving local music students in grades 2-12.

As soon as she touched it, she felt a surge of energy and knew that it was something special. She didn't waste any time and made her first wish - to be able to fly. Suddenly, her feet left the ground and she soared through the air, feeling the wind in her hair and the joy in her heart.

Renate's Baton: Leading a choir in Newmarket

Welcome to Renate's Baton. This blog is mostly for and about my choir, The York Region Community Choir.

But, While I'm holding the baton, I'm in charge. So, if I want to talk about other parts of my life, I will. :)

The choir itself is a community and I'm discovering that we have a lot in common with one another besides our love of music and singing.

When I go off on a tangent, there is always a crowd coming along. Join us!

My magic baton

From that day on, Lily would use her magic baton to make all sorts of wishes. She wished for a puppy, and suddenly a cute little dog appeared by her side. She wished for a sunny day, and the clouds cleared away, revealing a bright blue sky. She even wished for her homework to be done, and her pencils started writing on their own. With every wish, Lily learned to use her power responsibly and for the greater good. But one day, Lily lost her baton. She searched everywhere but couldn't find it. She felt lost without her magical companion. As days turned into weeks, Lily realized that she didn't need the baton to make her wishes come true. She had the power within herself all along. She could be kind, work hard, and chase her dreams without relying on magic. Lily realized that the magic baton was a symbol of her own abilities and potential. It taught her valuable lessons about gratitude, humility, and self-belief. She didn't need a magic baton to make her wishes come true - she just needed to believe in herself and take action. And so, Lily continued to live her life, making her wishes come true through hard work and determination. The magic baton may have been lost, but the lessons it taught her would always be with her. She would forever carry the magic of her baton in her heart, reminding her that she had the power to make her dreams a reality. And so, Lily lived happily ever after, knowing that the real magic was within her all along..
